we all scream at the same octive
make the same sound
fear silent winds
dark nights
but romantisise it at the same time...

but maybe that is not true

but maybe it is

who fucking knows?

work is not the greats place to write aa poem...

Voices ought not romanticize
people’s dehumaninzation
any more than inanimate
stillness’ personification.

Explosive vast diversity
illuminates too many lines
of firework scars on high space;
too many sounds for harmony.

Equal’s only coordinate
seems some stillness quiet silent
seems some resignation protest
moment where nothing sounds the same.

Voices ought not romanticize
oh brother where art thou?
welcome to studio eight, the asylum for the terminaly vain and heart broken.

brother Geoff is too dam serious about his writing

you can not always take him at his word

sometimes I think he means more than that

poor Geoff one of those unfortunate souls who has heard his calling at a very young age.

sorry geoff this is pure ramble, just a spontaneous stream that almost seems like it means something

strangely enough I was thinking of "quirky singles together"
and this was going to be a kind of creative/anti-accademy/GO post

Geoff as a fan of yours I try to be careful of what I say to you. Thinking about the Bob Zimmerman song with the bit (poison him with self confidence. (Limelight/stagefright?)

I say unfortunate as if you were born in the 18th century a pauper. I probably took your post way too personal, but I do that with stuff I read, if I like it. That is why I am fanatical.
This was not a spontaneous stream, I tried to make it well reasoned. So it will probably make less sense than the one above. Oh vey.

moment where nothing sounds the same.
It was a good answer Joel
I took off on the "ought not romaticize. Really did not read the rest, my appology. Tha moment when you hear a silent wind, nothing does not sound the same any more. Espcially my voice.
too many sounds for harmony.
we make heroes out of our selves, hopeless romantics that we are.
down on our luck and we can't harmonize in search for the girl with the far away eyes.

I hadn't thought in terms of nothing sounding the same after a quiet wind...thanks for a new direction. But I am continually taken how stillness/quietness is the one 'sound' everything makes the same. Commonality in absence.

nothing sounds the same
a silen wind
I like the metaphor
I liked it so much I was using it all over the place and I started to feel guilty about not giving credit where I stole it from. But Geoff might have stolen it to, or maybe it just passed through him like a sunday stream
but I digress

nothing sounds the same
after so many things
After I wake up froma dream I was living in
when I see my first sunrise tomorrow
after sunset tonight
I know we must be oriented to person place and time
And that traffic light is turning red
I better stop
But if I could hear everything for the first time
so much beauty here
if I walked in beauty
I would truly be a valuable man.

I have no freaking idea what either of you are talking about. I had forgotten I have written that. What is it with people loving the shit I don’t and having strong criticism for the stuff I love? It must be the Tone, I have a very dickheaded tone in my writing and righting what I can not, but try—any way, I have no idea what you two are going on about, I hope it does not reflect badly on me (as if anything could) I will take it a compliment.

I have a good friend from college who firmly asserts that the mark of the best and highest level of conversation (not necessarily, though, of strict communication) is to walk through topics like a stroll through intricate gardens where one becomes lost from how each new flower and color and odor was met.

Yes, it is a compliment.

Yeah it is as real as it gets, it almost seems to make sense sometimes.

For me it is a generational gap, so much static in my attic.

the heroic confines of the universal confessor.
this time the whimper is a bang.
Now I heard that, sometimes I read stuff that quiets down the static.

I thought the original post on this string was heroic

I got off on a tangent with Chatterton, Geoff I was just trying to say I wish you well, and I hope you can deal with the problems of being a mid list author

LMAO, yeah it happens to me all the time, the poems I think are the best never get any comments. Such is poetry and interpretation. I think all that has been said is a compliment and you should be very proud to move people with your words. I love your voice in your poetry, it makes it real. iblieve
