continual party, all his friends were there as usual. His mother generally told him when she'd let someone in, but these days, Mom seemed to have lost count of things.

Didn't matter. When the inevitable dinner bell rang, he'd have a few helpers to finish the endless helpings of potato chips and tuna salad.

Meanwhile, they had to finish the afternoon's plan. Produce as much energy as humanly possible and save it in the generator for later.
