this is a test.

this is a test. only a test.
had this been real
something else would have happened.

were this
or anything
anything more
than a hypothetical ambiguity
someone would let you know.

in the event of an emergency
authorities will inform your actions
through channels such as these.

if you can't tell
if there is an emergency
or if this is a test
follow directions.

if you can't listen
at least talk
until you understand
yourself.

this is a test
in an emergency.

this is a test in an emergency
where you will be forced
to decide
what is
what.

& this is a test
in an emergency
if you are afraid
of what might
(or might not)
happen

don't worry

doomsday is just another day.
godless & songless, western man dances with the stuffed gorilla through all the blind alleys of a dead-end world.

Just another page in the Doomsday Book

enjoyed the hell out of it until I got to the last line
then I took offence
I suppose that means
perfect.

I imagine we all have our own books of the dead. I scrapbook mine with pink glitter from Wal-Mart and the blood of five virgins.

Much like your piece, mindbum, it's a good thing.
