stormy weather, all man's brothers sing tonight...
Cindy Sheehan: I’m More Important than a Hurricane
By Ben Johnson @ Monday 26 September 2005, 8:27 pm
Cindy Sheehan must realize that her influence continues to slip. After camping out on the frontpage of nearly every newspaper in the country for a month, she resents having to share the headlines with…acts of God. This weekend, she whimpered, "I am watching CNN and it is 100 percent [Hurricane] Rita…even though it is a little wind and a little rain." That’s all; just "a little wind and a little rain." How could that be more important than International ANSWER’s millionth anti-American rally? ("Ramsey Clark: More than one billion betrayed into slavery.")
Actually, a hurricane is a Hell of a lot of wind and rain, and it harms lots of Americans — especially military personnel — caught in the crossfire.
In other words, what separates it from Cindy Sheehan is the fact that the hurricane has rain.
stooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrmy weather

I was hoping this was going to be about a storm at sea.
Have you ever been in one?
You know knip I been thinking about your be wary group mind thing.
I hear they passed a new law in Crawford making road side camping a crime. Cindy is about blood and tears. She will not go gently into that good night.

I agree, it was a tactless comment and she did apologize afterwards, but it was too late. Foot in mouth - dis:ease had already taken hold.
She is totally focused on her mission/goal ... and as such, with such limited vision; I think it's fair, and doesn't hurt to question, how much is ego; and how much is dedication. Of any one.
Too much of anything isn't healthy ~ even total focus on a 'goal' ... perhaps both Bush & Sheenan have something in common after all ~ eh?
Ummm...something to think about anyway. Thanks for bring this up, Knip. Interesting stuff. Glad I got a chance to see it.

too much attacking the messenger. even idiots can see that bush is a moron, a threat to democracy and freedom, and a complete shit stain on the world who deserves to be removed from office.

I don't know what good she thinks she will accomplish by meeting Bush again. Apparently he explained it to her and she forgot.
If all the National Guard equipment was not in Iraq, the suffering would have been lessened in NO. Two thirds of all the trucks and high water vehicles are in Iraq. Plus the helicopters and troops.
She is a grieving mother. She has tunnel vision. The poor people of New Orleans are going to have a grim future. How much campassion can one woman have. I can understand why she said what she did. I don't have a problem.
Sooner or later we are going to be out of Iraq, one way or another the world will deal with the aftermath. It will be america's shame.

One of them old fart institutional Friends of mine stood up one day in a Meeting House back in Maryland and said, "Buy the truth and never sell it." Listen you can have all the truth you can handle. The truth is very cheap these days. For five hundred bucks american you have any news story you want printed in some news paper or on some TV station somewhere.i begrudge cindy nothing...but i resent hand-picked news...give it ALL to me
So who is keeping the truth from you knip, your government? Is this one of those group mind things you were talking about the other day? I am trying to decide if these are random rhetorical questions or a pop quiz?
I try to see things from your side of the border knip. I read a bit the other day as to how one way Canadains talk about them selves is by comaring themselves to how they are not like americans. (small a deliberate, I mean citizens of the united snakes not of Americans as in north middle and south america.)
cold front moving through, phemonia wheater. Yesterday warm and balmy today feels like norther moved in, but not a blue northern. I wish you red skies at night
in friendship
