guess i missed you... i went back to sleep for a while... beauty rest, you know... a necessity!

wonder if it worked?

ha!

i'm dying to write live spontaneously... we DO have next Friday's Jam, but I'm all jammed up in my head and my heart and it needs to come out

last night, i couldn't find a soul around on the internet to write with

i don't have a clue where everyone took off to but I wish they'd send me links and direct me to some place where writers are online at the same time

i'll be looking in here from time to time today as I work on the site so if you want to write, kick it off and i'll get here when I can, ok?

thanks, Mark!

some how I missed ya D
now amazingly Judih...in a
cave snugglin' up to hope
all the fall leaves danglin'
from a rope....kid's will
be paradin' in their costumes
at 5......me filled with art and
immense desire....like doreen
I yearn to write.....here on the
far reaches of cyber-space,
where all does seem to be
real quiet.....this morning I took
me a lil ride.....round Baltimore
walk on Poe's wild side..................

Ye, who paganize the streets this night
Fie on ye, pumpkin coloured bile
curses screech from a glen afar
centuries old talismans melt under fire
neither witch nor wiccan be
sure
no hour haunts like an hour lost

orange and black the colors

and x-ray machines sound the times...............

That grave was in a mossy church yard, wet bricks, wet marble that day, walked by it so many times back and forth from Patterson Park to University hospital on Greene St. To Borrow homeboy's 49 Plymouth convertible, Listening to Tina Turner, Phil Spectre comes on and I get a halloweenie feeling

is this poetry?
I think not
Therefore I think I'll have a little sipping whiskey

One night was real special Mark I was about 17, dropped the car off, got hit with a royal crown cola bottle, I was like maybe three blocks from the hospital where my brother was interning, but I walkd 40 blocks? in the other direction with my hand to my jaw. All I was thinking was I had to get home. . A long bloody walk with my jaw broken in two places, how the blood poored out of my jacket sleeve when I finaly got home with my smashed face.

The calculated risk of walking pratt stree around the inner harbor, when it was still a working harbor. Random acts of violence, karmic dice, a violent karma, I have no idea why it all happened,

I was coming from Pulaski Highway near patterson park I think I walked straight west on Fayette street, sometimes dropped down to Baltimore street to walk the Block when it still had the sailors bars and penny arcades and The Gayety Gay Yet tea theatre had Burlesque shows. Then drop down to pratt on Charles or light st. Something like that.

South baltimore was not my turf except when I wandered the water front along Key Highway up to Federal Hill. That was during my skipping school for weeks at a time phase. Got so bad crazy mike had to drive me to Central and Pratt from our house at Caroline And Eastern. Drop me off at the front door. But then after another week of me going in the front door and out the back door he would circle the school and bust me on the way out. The school board was threatening him with big fines if he did not get me to school. What the heck has all this got to do with helping Doreen write a poem?

what a different place now.....missed that old pratt scene....saw fells pt. before it became frat boy party land.......my first taste of charm city was going to an orioles game on a bus with a load of washington star paperboys back in '65.....for me it
was a magical trip from the BW parkway up charles st, then right on 33rd over to old memorial stadium, which is gone.....really a different world for me compared to dc..............
