Glorious goes west......

In five days I will be joined in Astoria by my very good friend and radical poetess, Glorious Amok. She will be visiting with me for seven days before heading north into Vancouver for a long awaited visit with her parents. We have decided that this trip will be full of creativity and inspiration. She is bringing an arsenal of photography gear, and I am opening all of my notebooks to her. The plan is to come up with something worth putting in circulation. I'm excited. Havent seen her since my visit to Nova Scotia almost three years ago. Stayed tuned for photos and other random shit.

So Kari landed safe in Portland, I lost my ride to get the two hour drive from here. So now she's hunkered down for the night in an all girls hostel. She's comfy. I catch an 8am bus into Portland tomorrow
where we shall meet up and stomp through the streets of Portland.

Well damn......I saw Yab downtown yesterday and he said Kari had landed and he said he was going to Portland to collect her-
I asked if he had transpo and he said he did--had no idea it fell through for him--I would'a volunteered to take the jeep up and get her--we're in the icy grip of a cold snap here and I'm hearing the highways through the hills are atrocious-but I got studs all around and four wheel drive so it wouldnt've been that big a deal..

So thrilled to be able to meet Glamarina Vaseltrout--been a huge fan of hers since the old Litkickin' days of yore..

I just hurled "mnaz" at the North Star ( Portland-wise) from here in Lotos-Land.

He went whirling out of my studio and rotating Portland-ward on his four-wheel-drive chariot . . .


He and I just concluded a couple of days of lake-walking, birdwatching, Mexican food-imbibing, Corona- tandem-ing, politic-parsing, harbor-circuiting Southern-California-istic ( meaning in the warm 75-degree sun), word-slinging fun.
