Perimeters.
A unique mix of piano blues/wanderings and well-rhythmed words.
A voice and a fingertip walk through a phase in the life of its maker, doreen peri.
Not to be listened to in moving vehicles, as this listener discovered. Rather, to be relished in the stillness of an earphone/chair location.
Perimeters cries out for volume 2.
Have you heard your perimeters today?

That's a trippy CD, ain't it?....I'd never heard of Paul Penadoreen peri wrote:Yep. Thanks, Dave, for sending me the Ghenghis Blues CD, too.

http://www.paulpena.com/
until his death early last October..there was a little buzz goin' around the music sites about his career and sad life due to the lengthy illnesses that claimed him. The only work of his discussed that I was familiar with was the hit song from the '70s, Big Ol' Jet Airliner recorded by Steve Miller...was so delighted to recieve Genghis Blues from D-the-D-and there's quite a backstory to Pena's involvement in how it came about to be made and his trip to the mid-Asian state of Tuva for some jammin' with his Mongolian droogs.....

So anyway, here's a track off it.

Thank you, judih... you are a dear ... I am so pleased that you're enjoying it. Volume 2? Hmmm... it's possible it will happen. I have more music and words to make. I'm on the perimeter of getting it out of me.... practicing, rehearsing ... working on the endless possibilities of releasing the voices in my head. Thank you so much for listening. (sorry it wasn't traffic savvy ...but maybe the engines made it sound better, drowning out the mistakes... lol

genghis blues!
i absolutely love that album.
a friend gave me the cd a few years ago - he had bought it after he had heard paul pena and kongar-ol ondar play on the street somewhere.
judih and soozen/cecil should at least know one song of the album... i sent them a mixed audio tape with soem of my favourite songs on it a few years back, and remember that i put one song from genghis blues on it - i think it was 'sunezin yry' the song of the soul.
i see great plains and vast skies when i hear this music.

Listening to the music of nature
Here i sit in the center of ages
with my ear to the ground
Its been a long time since I felt so free
Every heart needs to sing like a bird on the wing
Jimi Hendix Live at The Berkeley Community Theatre May 30 1970...interesting blend of members of The Experience and Band Of Gypsies....Jus jammin...Jimi was at his experimental best here...at a crossroads of bands and directions....old contracts with former let's get rich from Jimi management were falling apart...Jimi was almost on his own...what would have happened????

Aw man, found this very groovy live recording of a radio broadcast
of a show Patsy Cline did at the Cimmaron Ballroom, in Tulsa Oklahoma on 7/29/61. The quality is superb -she is on the way back from her terrible car accident and she chats to the audience between songs of her ordeal. Anyway, I got time to post one cut off it up. This one's for you, Jack.
A blast from the past
Ms. Patsy Cline belting out:
San Antonio Rose
