tales from the lizard

Post by creativesoul » December 28th, 2005, 3:34 am

she was laying there with thoughts like tinker toys, leggos, tetris, building tension in the back of her mind
it was time to leave
the birds were awake outside the window
blue jays and wrens and finches grateful for the wild bird seed in the birdhouse that looks like a barn she won
she was done here
although she loved this place
it needed children
the medicine spirits had healed her, sent her to live with the people
carrying a prayer for healing that had gotten lighter since the oka medicne people began to help her to carry that suitcase of sacreds
"i would do anything for them" she moaned in a dreamlike state
she took a few pairs of underwear
in case she needed them
and headed for the open road
how we forget how large this world can be
and so small in so many ways
like a spiral in her hand
light in my breathe
paintings in the dream state
from long ago
of places that i have only visited in my sensual wordless motions
she listened to people talking in a circle
and the faces of people she knew and loved came in and out of focus
past and present

he was glowing over by the coffee maker
his long gray hair and silvery indian profile
disgiused as a biker that liked explosives, guns and sculpture
likes hoes, harleys and twinkies
smiles in softness and northwestern light

nakedness calls us to the edge of what was almost
trespassing on solitude s territory
broken
and gifted with a new wing
flight is possible
