An empire only thru conquest.
Peace only thru endless warring.
Future only thru death of now.
Paradise thru a payment plan...

Yeah, I had to decline.

you said, he came to you with an empire,
i thought it was a gift.

why does there need to be a conquest?
why do you think there is only peace by warring?
who made the rules about payment plans?
what say you and i change them?
we can find our own empire
co-create our own paradise
make our own rules...
i know its possible.

as for the future
coming by way of death.
you make it sound
like a bleak and painful
passage.

i have sat next to death
held its hand
shed what i thought were the necessary tears

they were tears
for what i thought was lost,
but i've come to understand
that there really is no ending
that we're not left with nothing
but with something different

doesn't need to be violent
or anything to be feared

focus on the light.
even if it is hidden behind the nukes,
we know its there...
and he or they can't change that fact.

"Future only thru death of now"....

as in...

devalued 'now', in favor of future glory...
as in, God up there and us down here...
as in the Eden of spontaneous life, unity
before knowledge of pairs of opposites,
fallen into a world of duality, time...

Paradise payments are for bankers,
and I've known some honorable ones.
Yes... Let's change the rules,
back to basics, when in doubt.
Love always begins at home.

But, I digress.

I am playing by questionable rules.

Quite taxing.

Love always begins at home

I am playing by questionable rules.

Quite taxing.
Ten four, spent the day away from home helping little sister in her struggle for the legal tender.
trapped indoors
A fresh breeze Gulf Stream Sent
sunshine waits for me

motorcycle lust
screw it
ride it next sunday
hard days work
Tomorrow another
Livelihood
waiting for data to load
Haiku time

And they tell me the only constant is death and taxes. I wonder which came first the chicken or the egg?

My rule is golden

Singing the metafiscal blues to a bongo beat
It ain’t Easy being GREEN
More time than money
The love of money is the root of all suffering.

i wanted to enter paradise
while the peacock spread his tail
and the slot machines rattled over las vegas dunes

but something kept calling me back
with a nagging tone of insistence
a to do list with an anchor to earth
a familiar drone of obligation

and with a shrug of committment
i unchained my intentions
stepped back from the high dive
rolled down my socks
and unlaced my gloves

that paradise of mystery and glory
that one day location of essence and nonetitude
rolls on, windows gone

and me in my veil of forgetfulness
praise the soil and smell of ploughed potatoes
drink coffee and imagine grapes
earthly pleasures fill my cup

that paradise thing?
what paradise thing
