I say "ditto to that, er the way to do is to be" and so do I get a big squuze too, eh, melady?
No merit whatsoever, sayz Bodhidharma
but I am doing Zen twice a month now
have you ever contemplated upon death, the transciennce
ah and yet, there is this beauitious moment
what is it?
la vida loca!
and yet wer can find the sacred in the ordinary
ah my patient last saturday sent him home with hospice
sarcoma of the ankle with mets to the left lung
3 to 6 months left
he opted out of more chemo
right lung is clear
he has a dilaudid pump he carries in a slingbag, man, a basal rate plus he can do his own ingections at the pop of a button
dilaudid and love
his wife and 2 gothic kids
sacred moments
another one years ago
he was a rocker with white witch
luisa smelled pot in his hospital room, called secutiry
guy comes up I say, look this guy had a puff
guy says we'll just tell him to take it outside
so we do rocker says the doc wikll be pissed
forgetabout it i says no problemo
later i saw him outside
a summer's evening late afternoon sun
he was looking at a tree from his wheelchair
he says, knowing you've got only a little time
makes this all too incredible
later his son was wheeling him on a guerney
adios amigo
last saturday i wheeled my dude out, after taking him over to the other staff, said goodbyes. wh had chatted about ordinary things.
the weather was perfect, 65 and partly sunny, amen.
they drove off to home.
to the dark and mysterious identities.
