Informational signs on the casualties of war.....

Post by hester_prynne » January 9th, 2006, 4:08 pm

I saw a story yesterday about a man who has posted a sign in his store that details the number of casualities and injuries so far in the Iraq war. The main complaint is that this sign is placed right next to the Army Recruiter's office and there are folks up in arms about it saying the sign should COME DOWN???????

I think all army recruiting offices should be required to have these kinds of signs in their windows! DUH DUH DUH DUH! I mean, why wouldn't they? It gives information that recruitees should consider very carefully before joining! But instead, they want the sign down, they want to keep the truth hidden, and BLATENTLY are demanding it!!!!!!!!

They are saying it's unpatriotic to have that sign up so close to the military recruitment office! How twisted is that?

No wonder GW is president and Cheney is vice. They have incredible amounts of stupidity to work with.....

If you think the sign should come down then I say with no hesitation, fuck you!

so now it's unpatriotic to tell soldiers they might die?

shit, i got pissed at work because they told me my benefits would start earlier than they actually did. imagine if i was going to die and they didnt tell me!

apparently they think american volunteer soldiers are too stupid to read the newspapers.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

Good point. It's common knowledge, isn't it?.... I mean, the numbers of war dead and wounded are reported fairly regularly, right? Why should it matter that much?

i was thinking a bit in the way of sarcasm. can they possibly think we're that stupid? then again, i wonder what answers you'd get if you asked kids heading to the recruitment centers how many have been killed in iraq.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.
