two shorter ones

The y is always miniscule
and therefore You’re to me unknown.
The y is always miniscule.
Despite the upper case I’d loan
to love you—in the end alone
I’m still unloved and tossed and thrown;
the why is always miniscule.
And therefore You’re to me unknown.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Decaffeinated discipline prevents
success in my desire to overcome
my misinformed desire for you. The fence
I use to prison me is selfish dumb

permission to withhold
out loud and spoken
confessions
even if you ever loved me

your love was mere emotion timelessness
could not control; and what I sought was faith
where feeling stands penultimate before
committed love. I hate to think you failed.
"Every genuinely religious person is a heretic, and therefore a revolutionary" -- GBShaw
