Iran question
Let's say Iran builds a nuclear bomb. And let's say no country does anything to stop them. And then let's say that Iran detonates a nuke in Tel Aviv. Not beyond imagination, right?
So, the question is, what does the international community do then?

Let's say the United States hords a bunch of nucelar weapond but tells the rest of the world they can't have them.
And let's say no country does anything to stop them.
And let's say they decide to detonate one of them anywhere in the world.
Not beyond imagination, right?

the international community then breaks into alliances on the side of israel or iraq or nobody and then there are wars within the regions of israel and iraq, eventually extending to within the borders of various allies.
then halliburton makes contracts with both israel and iraq to rebuild.

and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

yes yes yes yes!!!singlemalt wrote:no no no no no.
this here is my thread. don't change the subject or the question. got an answer for me?
I didn't change the subject.
I'm saying that it's the same thing.
The answer is that if a nuclear bomb were dropped by any country anywhere, the whole gig is up. I grew up in the 50's and 60's. We were made QUITE aware that the fallout from a nuclear bomb can effect the ENTIRE planet. My father was a nuclear physicist. We talked a LOT about this topic.
The news media is feeding us nonsense. It doesn't matter WHICH country drops a bomb, we'll all be effected. The problem is that the balance of power no longer exists on this planet.
You asked a question and I posed the same question to you only substituting names of countries. What's the difference?
Who the hell is the United States to say that it's OK for them to have nuclear weapons but not any other country?
This is how discussions work. One person asks a question. Another person replies and may have more questions on the same topic.
It IS the same topic.
Yes yes yes yes!
And if you don't like my questions as an answer, then read firsty's answer. I agree with him. Wars and more wars. That's what will happen.
But worse.

In a land or water surface burst, large amounts of earth or water will be vaporized by the heat of the fireball and drawn up into the radioactive cloud. This material will become radioactive when it condenses, with fission products and other radiocontaminants that have become neutron-activated.
There will be large amounts of particles of less than 100 nm to several millimeters in diameter generated in a surface burst in addition to the very fine particles which contribute to worldwide fallout.

Sorry.... I just can't take the idea of one country dropping a nuclear bomb on another lightly.
What does the international community do then?
They try to clean it up and save as many lives as they can!

You are talking about depleted uranium shells.
Lets say Iran makes a nuclear weapon. Lets say that Israel has about 150, or maybe 400 nuclear weapons. There seems to be sum debate. SOme say they have 1,000
Lets say there is such a thing as a Masada complex.
Don't lose any sleep over it. I would be more worried about Levi Asher keying my car again.

dp -- i'm still waiting for an answer. if you don't have one, that's fine. i'm asking for speculation, not a definitive answer (because there can be no definitive answer when looking into the future). but your questions to me about the u.s. are questions in response to my question, not an answer.
firsty -- i was asking about iran not iraq. and i haven't heard that low yeild or small scare nukes were used in iraq. if they were, we would have likely all heard about that by now.
