Image
SuzieQ in her safe place.
Books her OM sound
the smell of coffee
quiet people
calmly browsing
the flock of the moment
faith in gentle company
she restoreth her soul
and smiles once more.

Great way to start the morning, coming in and being greeted by "susieq"

i need to get back tothe old sketchboard agin sometime
way past my prime am afraid
but i can get it back
just a little rusty
silver and gold

have a safe place
visualise it
when you are doing ok
so you can go there when things are wavy.

I been sitting out on the front porch, so much going on, cars driving by, so much sensory data coming in. I close my eyes and I feel safer. But I have heard that you should not close your eyes when sitting and breathing. I suppose I need to work on my feng shui, make myself a blank wall to look at..

on a crash course in how to stop objectifying sensory data.

thatz a good one, man!
itz called makyu in zen
when you go deeper
you can have extra sensory experiences
visions
these are regarded with varying attitudes
zen would eschew these as mere thinking monkeymind
chogyam trungpa and his merry band of afficionados
well they wiould say it's just burning karma
then sometimes visions are wondrous
best done in ceremonial fashion
alone or in a sweat lodge

i'll be facing the wall next week all day
5 am to 9 pm
not straight sitting
walking
chanting
talks
dokusan
eating
sitting
