I'm with Clay here; why pussy-foot around? No apologies neither.

Aside from that, the connotations of the word are a bit different these days... often it has nothing to do with race. Also, the usage in this poem suggests a certain quality that I can't think of a way to express otherwise -- perhaps evidence that the phrases are the ideal diction.

Now then.
I particularly like this bit:
I thought I felt the finger of god one night
it was on my thigh and then on my temple caressing the thoughts
creating memories that never happened
Not really sure why... Just something about it.

What would a movie about my life be like? Well, an awful lot of me sitting around thinking. Plenty of interesting people, some rather fun parties, and a few good love scenes... No real conflict though, people would get bored.

Life Movie

Post by Ann Bingham » March 3rd, 2006, 12:33 pm

A struggle between selves and all the personalities know one another, except the heroin. Somewhere between Cybil and Carrie,
or would it be Cyndi and Madonna. Be kind of funny to watch her throw cone bras at herself while on some kind of suicidal trip not caused by LSD.

They'd argue about hair color going from Goth black to all the colors of the rainbow-at the same time. That would explain the bra throwing. You wouldn't be able to tell the black headed one from the brunette, the red head from the bleach blond. Film is in black and white, color doesn't exist yet. I think the rainbow would be recognizable, but it would just appear as multi-shades of gray and black. Kind of like the green thumb on my left hand. The heroin would be the one wearing the rainbow in her hair.

The heroin would wake up nights slapping the pee out of the slutty red head while doing a little dance to She Bop, no doubt, around the bed, while the goth is yelling fight, fight. The bleach blond has tried several times to persuade the heroin to be like a virgin so she can be sacrifice to the dark forces of her personality.

There would be a mermaid somewhere pointing an accusing finger because she's not human. She carries a water gun to keep her gills from drying out. Occasionally she'd turn it on the rainbow heroin just to watch her hair color run.

The director is trying to go for a comic tragedy, but has to constantly yell cut because the characters keep falling out of character when the damn mermaid leaps across the screen, steeling the scene. And the goth doesn't like poking fun at herself, and the red head is mad because she doesn't get to play the leading role. Noooo, that damn rainbow headed one gets that part.

It would still be a comic tragedy because the credits would be worth the reading, but the movie would get two thumbs down. Just flush the toilet on your way out.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think my head hurts...

I'd love to see the response to a film like that at Cannes or something

They say the the sincerest form of flattery is imitation.

A battle of the sock puppets, mine would be more like a punch and judy show, with me playing both roles.

Black and blue and read all over.
