He Haw was not that popular a show among the Natives of the Shenandoah Valley, they resented the hell out of the stereotypes.

The best song he ever wrote, Detroit City

I want to go home, I want to go home,
Oh Lord, I want to go home,

Last night I went to sleep in Detroit city,
And I dreamed about those cotton fields and home,
I dreamed about my mother,
dear old papa, sister and brother,
And I dreamed about that girl,
whose been waitin' for so long,

I want to go home, I want to go home,
Oh Lord, I want to go home,

Home folks think I'm big in Detroit city,
From the letters that I write they think I'm fine,
But by day I make the cars,
by night I make the bars,
If only they could read between the lines,

I want to go home, I want to go home,
Oh Lord, I want to go home,

I rode a freight train north to Detroit city,
After all these years I've been wasting my time,
I'll take my foolish pride,
on a southbound freight and ride,
Go on back to the ones,
EI've left waitin' so far behind,

I want to go home, I want to go home,
Oh Lord, I want to go home.

They're gonna put me in the movies
They're gonna make a big star out of me
We'll make a film about a man that's sad and lonely
And all I have to do is act naturally
Speaking of movies

\\Yeah that is what I told her, when she asked me if I wanted anything special. No I said I got no script running through me head, lets just act naturally
But she had a movie she wanted to to act out. And we went from The Trip to The Last Tango In Paris

We are stars in our own movie
but with compassion
we can be co stars all of us on S8

You can co-star in my movie and I can co-star in yours

Weather is so perfect
A good day to die
Cool sixty degrees and gentle rain

Flash back
1970, Hebrew National Cemetary
On Pulaski Highway in Baltimore
Next door to the Schluderberg-Kurdle slaughter house
The hogs screaming
We all wearing black paper yarmulkes
A gentle rain falling
The black dye leaching out of the paper
Running down our faces like black tears.

Why is April the cureulest month

Rest in peace Benjamin Shapiro.
