this is a blast from the past i think. i've been watching bill maher and i've been doing some of my own thinking and i'm starting to get freaked out. during the years leading up to 9/11 and i'm not kidding about this i used to envision the towers toppling over. in my visions they would fall like trees, and thats partially why when the south tower started to crumble i saw it crumbling to the east as if it were going to fall into the east river. they really mostly fell straight down but still something about my visions made me uneasy.

i have had this vision lately of being invaded, of having to defend my home. if there were a militia in my area now i'd fucking join it. not like back around oklahoma city when the militias were crazy. now we need them. we need real minutemen but looking inside, not camped out on the borders like racist assholes with no sense of history.

george w bush is an endtimer. he's a born-again christian. lets not forget that. to him, israel is the plan. get all the jews back to the chosen land in preparation for the endtimes. the final battles will be waged on that soil. but in the larger, more actual picture, there are no final battles for humanity, only for empires. and america is showing signs of being the next empire to fall. we are a theocracy. the last guest on bill maher wrote a book about it*. but it's there. america is a fucking theocracy, and we're in debt, and nobody likes us.

i have visions of americans becoming an ethnicity not for the purposes of nationalism but lining up to get into europe or asia or south america with our visas declaring us as american immigrants after our govt crumbles. and we'll be the ethnic minority, and we'll be stereotyped as a bunch of lazy arseholes by other countries.

i have visions that katrina was the first in a series of natural disasters that will bankrupt this country, drain its resources, us unprepared as we are to deal with anything except collusion and terrorizing our own citizens, and destroy our personnel and financial resources, leaving us easy prey for men with bombs.

the conspiracy theorists hold that within the next 4 yrs, we will be invaded by the chinese. our national capital will be moved to underground caves in colorado. i dont know about all that. i dont know if we'll make it that far anymore.

this is fear in a vision. 12 million mexicans got out the marching orders in a matter of days. thats only because theyre not really americans. if they were really americans, they would have sat home and ate potato chips in front of american idol while their president commits treason, kills our children and destroys our country by lining the pockets of his friends.

if i try very hard, i can envision another american revolution, but thats only when i'm feeling very optimistic. we are fat and lazy. our largest demographic is from a failed social movement who invented the SUV and ENRON. bush has fucked our schools, fucked our military, and fucked our culture. and we've done nothing but beg for more.

i think i need to learn another few languages, just to keep my options open.

I have you ever had one while sitting on an airplane. Have you ever flown on the old Electra Turbo prop? The only thing that kept me from getting and asking them to let me off was the prospect of looking like a fool. But there was a bad serries of crashes in news about the wings falling off, and then when I saw the misty whiteness seeping its way down the floor, it was almost more than I could bare.

I heard a bit on NPR about Poetry Is Fundamental. If I was Dick Cheney I would want to rub your head for good luck.

I forgot what doreen said about this piece, but take it and square it for me. My first take on poetry is that it is aimed right between my eyes and other times right between my thighs.

My first gut responce to a poem is empathic, relates to feelings mabye un realated to meaning of words, but communicated by the poem. And then a poet comes along and tells me why I liked it

And Uncle Freud said that where ever he wandered with his thought experiments, he found a poet who had been there first.

Bravo Firsty I hear you loud and clear.
I am totally impressed at these protests, the unity and strength, it's like an obvious lesson for us to see, a gift, a drift...

But we allow ourselves to be scapegoated. "the jobs Americans won't do.."..that is steaming bullcrap!

Naw, we need to pony up with these "necessary illegal aliens" and make them understand that freedom is not about working for the Federal minimum wage, ($5.05 or so an hour) and having to engage in social services to merely survive, even while working full time. We need to insist that if they want citizenship in America they must never work for less than 14 bucks an hour in this Country to keep the workforce competitive......(even that is barely livable......)

the minimum wage is almost 10 yrs old. middle managers all over america pay more for their morning coffee than a minimum wage worker earns in an hour.

the neocons need the immigrants; they provide the next generation of soldiers, young men fighting for a flag their parents cant call their own. thats the only reason that redneck texans turn a blind eye. thats the reason that there are 11 million illegal immigrants here. they breed for our army.
