I am first genereation here
I tend to favor open borders
My grandparents had a great inspiration for learning English
The fear of deportation
But English did not Help Emma Goldman
All I really know about Xenephon is that he kicked a lot of Persian butt. Cut off and surrounded at thousands to one odds. They kept their act together and marched right back home to Athens.

Meanwhile back at the oasis the war goes on
We need all the diversions the government can create to keep our minds off that. What ever happened to North Korea?
I wish we would pick our enemies with more care. I think we ought to keep our eye on Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Monaco. There is the axis of evil if you ask me.
Iran has broken no laws, yet. They have insisted that the inspectors remain.
It seems to me that Bush is the one that started the threats.

Absolutely and the xenophobic fearz that these idiotz want to inflame are exactly that, the main story from which we are entertained by these name-calling ep·i·thetz, man, like who'se the real axiz of evil, what the dude down in Argentina wrote, like, i gotta go find it. ,,,,,,,,ah ha!
There is a fellow who teaches yoga and Hapkido here, ShahRam, teachezzz kidz and old folks. me an Suzie did some yoga with him a few yearz ago. He was in the Iranian army in the war with Iraq (who we supported with chemical weaponry, and even gave the Iraqis tactical military sub-intelligence on the locations of Iranian troops. oops, they also gassed the Kurdz, yet we uttered not a word of remorse, ,,,etc) He told me his nephew was drafted age 14, they gave him a ribbon with a key on it and told him to charge,,,,,) ShahRam split to Toronto for a while and studied Hapkido and yoga, what else, now here in St Pete
then there's Mo(hammed), he calls hisself Mo and says he's from Jamaica! I swear. He walked out if Iran during the Iraq War with some buddies up into Azerbaijan and thru wherever up thru Sweden and came over here, studied physical therapy, and now, heaven forbid, has graduated from hillsboro community college with an associates in nuclear medicine, like, indium and gallium scanz, and mri's, and endoscopie retrograde cholangio pancreascopiez, man. once he was giving physical therapy to an old fart who shat all over hisself in the doorway, Mo(hammed) took the old focker into the bathroom, bathed him, cleaned up most of the mess, I helped clean up to, it's called a codebrown He also is multilingual, Farsi, English, some Spanish and Swedish, has a family, man, family values.
All these fellows are not my enemies, and Musseholi, who had a picrture of the Shah in his room, was proud that he got to shake the Shah's hand, as the outstanding cadet, just a village youth, was polishing the wings on the jetz, then he was one. Now he could be anywhere. Wherever you are Musseholi, you are not my enemy. And I am living in the belly of the beast, a rogue state ruled by xenophobia.
Yes the Iranians are inviting the UN NUKE inspectorz in, but so far the UN is supposedly refusing. Where'z the beef, man?
We got missiles and stealth bomberz and they got stealth agents with conventional explosives. Mo(hammed) says Bush is crazy and I agree with him. He is a sick puppy, and he ain't alone. It's the real tragedy of our time, that this attitude predominates our political power and a more reasoned prospect is nowhere in site.
Christ, Dumbya is threatening the Iranianz with airstrikes and he does it by dehumanizing them, name-calling, taunts, threats. Fuck him. I have known three Iranians so far, the first was my air farce pilot training roomie, Musseholi, he got up at dawn, said his prayers on his mat in his room, was healthy, friendly, liked big salads and big Mexican Girls from San Antonio. All the Iranian cadetz ate together and socialized. One dude even had a beard and I wonder how it felt under his face mask. Furry, I guess.

mexican flags in the marchas? well, if the consigna is we are America, they're right! . Mexico is in North America and it's part of Latin America, no?. Mmmm, maybe you're guilty for calling yourself America, America... it's a metaphor, a metonimia or what?
Did you see the film "Bolivia"? Great to analize or at least think slowly about some tipo of discrimination against people of other countries in these lands.
Some days ago a textil/fabrica where bolivians work burnt in Buenos Aires. With the people inside. Bolivia's president talking about it and other things. See:

Arcadia it has been a long time since I read 1984, was there three enemies, we americans were one block in a state of constant war, I for got the other two.
I wonder about this one world govenment thing? What would that change. Eliminate war because we is all one happy family?
I used to use small letter america to remind myself that we are all here together in The New World. It encourages me that old ways still continue here. I know I am first generation native american born, but I feel like I trudged across the Berring Sea land bridge twenty five thousand years ago.
One day I would like to find the museum that has the book called The Things Of New Spain.
Mexican flag, it is a very nice flag. A snake and a bird, maybe Canada my favorite. I just like maple trees a lot.
They don't call Miami little Havana for nothing. You won't USA flags flying there.

s/t, I read 1984 near 1984 but I don't remember also the other blocks. Only that there was so much front/news everywhere. And the rats episode. Disgusting, really.
The America stuff in U.S.A. vocabulary is something that bothers me each time I hear it, so it was a mid/joke, but don't worry. We are a big family.
Some recent news about here

(It seems that 750.000 extranjeros that lived here will be argentines soon... brave new world!)

talking seriously, tomorrow will be the day of the Indio Americano (at least in school, in the comunities and during the festejos in the city)... confusing title, I like more Pueblos Originarios, even though we all know that they crossed Bering from Asia. But they were here before the Spanish, no doubt about it... I liked Cecil's aportes in relation with this point.
And somebody have news about Marcos and his people making a concientization/sharing/tour in his bike?
do we still have enough labels?
saludos,
Arcadia

(The United States of) America calls itself America, it's citizens, Americans.
this is no metaphor, nor metonomy, nor synecdoche.
it is the role of Imperial center, like Rome.

Well, I ain't no Yankee./There are stones which are still silent. When they speak the secrets they keep, nothing will be the same again, but it will surely be better for everyone. The being and not the having will be valued. Another hand will raise the flag, and the world will be scented, will be heard, will know and will feel as it should be: the honourable home of those who work it./
Will tread the argentian articulo manyana, i would be an extranjero there, but since Arcadia and fernando vivan "down" there, it's ok. Not so extranjero afterall.

jimbo: yeah, we don't have to use the stairs all the time here. That's good at some point.
And Fernando, Fernando... I'll start to feel jealous...!
e/dog: I read from that link some months ago. Good to have news!
Irlandesa's translation sounds good but I prefer the Sub talking in Spanish... crazy thing what's happening there.
ahhh... the Indio Americano's day is tomorrow, just in case.

The poem from Marcos, it is the existential spiritualism of the meztizo, indiginous and ecological.
Indio americano day tomorrow in Artgentina
\No tienes celosa amiga.
You are our first Argentinian amiga!
Es incredible, claro.
