my list of favorite actors seems to be starting to center around those who want something to do with some real writers.

altho, i've always liked dillon. johnny depp, i am starting to like more because of his association with hst. and that punk josh hartnett, for the same reason, doesnt seem as much of a pretty boy anymore.

it strikes me that dillon's buk might be pretty similar to rourke's buk. we'll have to see. at any rate, lili taylor seems a better buk ho than faye dunaway, thats for sure.

well, barfly was an original screenplay by buk. factotum was a novel by buk that they are apparently making into a film. they are not the same, they are different.

matt dillon can be anyone. anyone can be bukowski, because bukowski does not give a shit. the only person that can not play bukowski in a movie is bukowski.

whoa. so there gonna be an adaptation of factotum? wow. buk was pissed that they fucked up his screenplay. he'll probably be rollin in his grave when the novel gets fucked up.

matt dillon never fails to be matt dillon when he plays other characters. unlike, say, johnny depp who is a (great) actor, dillon is a (great) voice and a dumb facial expression. it will never work. i boycott.
