hmmm....dunno.....done a lot of beachcombing here in the northwest and dont recall seeing anything like that.

I think we can definitely rule out the mortal remains of Jimmy Hoffa, Johnny Roselli, etc...

..is that cartilage inside there? If so, it's gotta be the decomposed remnants of some kind'a fish--like a ray, a skate or one of the many weird little sharks...

looks like
a camel's foot
a dragon's head
cauliflower
a pair of lungs
a gator's dinner
degurgitated pasta
two oxygen bottles
ostritch shoes?
silly gators!
a triangle
a strange way to die
an organic spaceship
a very recent fossil

so what is it?

camels don't fly
dragons don't swim
pasta doesn't float
gators don't puke
oxygen doesn't freeze
bottles don't drink
triangles don't rott
spaceships don't crash
and death doesn't leave
without an autograph

Hmmm....
I'd go for the cauliflower.

On a more serious note I'd say the foot of an animal that's been thrown off a ship for some reason. Maybe it was being illegally imported, for example, and died during the trip, so they got rid of it.

As for the type of animal, let's see.
Moose? Deer? Turtle?
It has nails.
It has nails!
4 toes isn't that common in mammals.
It does look like an ostrich though.
Why is an ostrich called an ostrich already?
Ost rich?
Vos is los!
Let's see.

[here's an X-ray slip]

Image

Nope.
Our little friend doesn't look the least bit ostrich.

The scientific name for the Afri can ostrich is Struthio camelus...
Maybe that's a clue!

Image

Hmm...
Not very camel either, I was way off.
Let us try something else.

Image

That's a little better, but I still doubt it's what we're looking for: dragons migrated to another dimension five centuries ago.

So we're looking for an animal with 4 toes and nails, which is neither an ostrich, nor a camel, nor a dragon.

I'd say it's a 4-legged vegetarian mammal. There are quite a lot of those around, but it still limits the field of research.
The side toes are smaller than the two central large toes. That's a clue on how the animal used to walk.
Still guessing, small mammals usually have even-sized toes so my guess is, the mammal we're looking for is large, at least larger than a large dog.
Yeeeeess.

Still still guessing, since it doesn't have hooves or a lot of padded protection against hard ground, it was used to living in a basically flat environment, or slightly hilled at most. No rocky lanscapes or mountains. No deserts.

Still still still guessing, there were at least rivers around where it lived, and it knew how to swim (another reason to believe that it wasn't a dragon).

AAH!
Just remembered I have tons of things to do for next year&all
lol
People react to stress in 2 different ways. They either go overactive or slow down in exagerative proportions.
I guess I'm the latter.
Snap out of it jeremy!

 I'm not implying that this is a picture of an Illuminati foot mind you...just saying that they're at the bottom of it! Not at the bottom of the foot...that would just be silly... but at the bottom of the plot to make us all look stupid. Geez, like that's a task!

Reminds me of a song I heard a couple of lifetimes ago.

PHIL HARRIS lyrics - "The Thing"

www.OldieLyrics.com

(Charles R. Grean)

While I was walkin' down the beach
One bright and sunny day
I saw a great big wooden box
A-floatin' in the bay
I pulled it in and opened it up
And much to my surprise
Oh, I discovered a...
Right before my eyes
Oh, I discovered a...
Right before my eyes

I picked it up and ran to town
As happy as a king
I took it to a guy I knew
Who'd buy most anything
But this is what he hollered at me
As I walked in his shop
"Oh, get out of here with that...
Before I call a cop"
"Oh, get out of here with that...
Before I call a cop"

I turned around and got right out
A-runnin' for my life
And then I took it home with me
To give it to my wife
But this is what she hollered at me
As I walked in the door
"Oh, get out of here with that...
And don't come back no more"
"Oh, get out of here with that...
And don't come back no more"

[Instrumental Interlude]

I wandered all around the town
Until I chanced to meet
A hobo who was lookin' for
A handout on the street
He said he'd take most any old thing
He was a desperate man
But when I showed him the...
He turned around and ran
Oh, when I showed him the...
He turned around and ran

I wandered on for many years
A victim of my fate
Until one day I came upon
St Peter at the gate
And when I tried to take it inside
He told me where to go
Get out of here with that...
And take it down below
Oh, get out of here with that...
And take it down below

The moral of this story is
If you're out on the beach
And you should see a great big box
And it's within your reach
Don't ever stop and open it up
That's my advice to you
'Cause you'll never get rid of the...
No matter what you do
Oh, you'll never get rid of the...
No matter what you do
