I live in a neighbourhood populated by Portuguese, Italalians, Brazilians and Argentinians...World Cup central....it's insane...

World Cup is keeping me sane. I get in on Univision, I watch it with the sound off. Sometimes I imagine that instead of kicking a soccer ball around they are running through a battle field trying to kill eachother. Then I see that all that hunan agressiveness is channeled into something as harmless as a game of foot ball. Of course the fans are another matter, between the commercial breaks I see news bytes about riots. No idea where or why.

Even though 50Cent was performing last night (Saturday) in Ramat Gan in Tel Aviv and many kids from around here went to hear him, the Mondiale (World Cup) is where it's at.

I have one fanatic son, one son who takes it or leaves it and a life partner who likes to watch certain games at certain times. My daughter is just as happy to watch or not and i will partake only if i sense excitement in the room. Ghana made some great goals yesterday. (or was it 'goal')

In any case, Mondiale is here and remains a traditional addiction in Israel.
