Is spontaneity a good thing?

Or should one always overthink everything?

pour over the pros and cons

before they say a word

Is hush better than instant blurt?

Calm better than storm of words?


I love the spontaneous

I think that it may be truth unchecked

but is it only a fool who has a quick tongue

who speaks the mind/heart before gauging the effect...affect

Spontaneous combustion...a fizzle of well meaning words...igniting charred remains.

I don't think enough of us are spontaneous...but then again I could be wrong...

Sometimes spontaneity can be a good thing.

If I think too much before I speak, I will most likely decide not to speak at all.

Come to think of it, that might be a good idea.

I just have so many doubts

and sometimes just by merely listening you can't gather all the answerings

I am still unsure as to whether one should or should not act spontaneously...should one rein in their verbal nastiness if it is who they are, if it is the truth of it?

While I realize that all acts of spontaneity would not be good or prudent...lets face it, acts of violence, cruelty to any other should never be acted upon, and is certainly not that of which I speak or refer. I merely mean spouting spontaneity verbally, and that instant acting upon an action without thought. Which I suppose is out of ones control anyway, if you act without thought you are not perhaps in control. Oh, I'm tying a noose of stupidity around my neck with this one.

Spontaneous behavior can get us into trouble...no doubt. I just wonder if it should always be avoided, if one should always count to ten, think it out, work it out, mull it over, ponder all the effects/affects and then sit back silent...because most times if we think it out as you say we will just stay silent. Is that good or bad, right or wrong, or just what it is? We are our own guardians of the world against our true selves.

Well, I of course often make no sense except to myself, or so I overthink.

Perhaps spontaneous should be held in check except with the trusted, favored few.

I reckon there are two kinds of spontaneous...the good kind and the bad kind...and the dilemma lies in discerning which is which.

Though true spontaneous by it's very nature is uncontrollable is it not?

If you're about to "spontaneously combust" ain't no way you can stop that, right?, may as well try to push a raindrop back into a cloud...about as effective.

Yeah it is best not to speak your thoughts in anger. You got to listen to a very small voice of reason that can get lost in the the shouting blood.
