Deb - I love that photo too! That's by Peter Stulmann, aka Southbound Snackeyderm ... Doreen
I love the light through the clouds Southbound ... perfect.

Thank you Doreen for the correction, I want the compliment going to the correct certain someone. Beautiful photo and banner.

Also -- I want to add ~ like new quote boxes that come up now. Regular size text with the white background ~ nice.

Sober Duck ...
That's just TOO too hot!!!
~ugh!~
I hope you're playing in the sprinklers! (Or something)

thanks for the photo ducky... I wish I could make a banner out of it but something's wrong over here right now... all my text in photoshop is jaggedy for some reason.. i've tried everything i know how to do to fix it other than reinstalling the software... so gotta pull from the archived banners for now until i get it fixed

deb- yeah, finally did a part of an upgrade anyway... got the skin upgraded (the way it looks, the style)... with the help of my son... and i agree, i like the quotes in the white boxes... i tried to adjust the css to make the text the same size as it used to be and keep it uniform for the quotes... it seems to have worked from this end anyway

Re: Mon., 6/26 banner.

Sad, lonely, abandoned, sterile... like an early 50's soviet vacation spot.

Who captured this image and why were they there... alone?

Ha!

That was one of the very first banners I used when I started changing the banners.

I took the photo then did some digital enhancements to it. It was a photo from Virginia Beach.

I was there with LR but he wasn't with me. I was out taking photos at dawn. That's why the "boardwalk" (not really boards... concrete) was abandoned. Early morning, if I remember correctly.

I changed it. :D
I never thought of it as a sad, lonely, sterile, abandoned photo. Hmmm..

Anyway, Cecil.. i know you made a nice comment once about the purple guitar banner so I put that one up for you.

I'm at a temporary stand-still when it comes to making banners. My photoshop text isn't rendering right. So, until I get it fixed, I'm pulling from the archives.

:)

Should I apologize? Geez...

"It had to be you....."

Really, Dor', I looked at that banner for, what?.. 2 days. I never saw any joy in it. You really captured depression well!

Good change!

No!! No apologies! LOL!!

Glad you like the change!

I had that one up there for 2 days?? Ack! shame on me! I try to change them daily.

But hey, some change their banners as often as they change their dirty socks, so what am I apologizing for? :?

I have a few that capture depression even better but I didn't take the photos. I was too depressed to get the camera out. :D 8)

But seriously... thank you for your input, Cecil! I do appreciate it very much!
