btw Jack... a google etymology search shows the word 'beggar' -

"c.1225, from O.Fr. begart, originally a member of the Beghards, lay brothers of mendicants in the Low Countries, from M.Du. beggaert "mendicant," with pejorative suffix. The order said to take its name from Lambert le Bègue "Lambert the Stammerer," a Liege priest (d.1177). The order quickly drew imposters and fell from repute. The verb meaning "to reduce to poverty" is from 1528." (online etymology dictionary)

There was apparently no word for beggar 2000+ years ago, but poverty was around.

Thanks Cecil. I have heard they are re-testing The Shroud of Turin again. The first test showed it was only about a seven or eight hundred years old. But now they say that the part they tested was the edge where the priests would hold it up for display once in a while. They think that possibly there was some contamination.

No offense Z but that skinny hippy on the cross of the Catholic Church never resonated with me. I like the image on that shroud, a working stiff, and a mesomorph with well-developed muscles. I know you are Catholic. I always wished I could be Catholic too.

I want it bad firsty. I just don't want to kill anyone to get it.

I want a soft, velvet, non-violent, no blood shed kind of ...

Gandhi did it, why can't we.

Ah hell, not the same I know. We are the oppressors and the oppressed.

We have only ourselves to fear.
