Fast food, #33

Post by mnaz » July 12th, 2006, 2:48 am

Ready to blow, five feet out,
where I ordered bar codes and styrofoam,
diabolically close, at a window,
no more than five feet, I assure you,
or less, when I pick up food,
and leave.

I hate fast food (except when I'm very hungry) but I like the sort of depredatory style in the poem!.

hmmm ..... more undercurrents.... seems I can't write anything without 'em....

i pledge allegiance,
to fast food multiplication,
invariant, incessant, redundant,
like scattershot M-16 honor,
one, with corporation and waste,
indivisible,
with justice and ruin
for all...

or something like that....

ketchup, it is good with ketchup
fishburgers I tried living on fishburgers for a couple of days when I was running the TurnPikes back east and stoping at the fast food plaza's.

I was at one this morning
seven am my friend has to eat she says
pulled into the double hex
seventeen SUV's in line
all of them idling spewing exhasut
I caught a scent of diesel
Better than Homer's McRib

bleary eyed
but still able to read
fine work mnaz, you make my fingers want to dance on these keys.
gracias.

vegetarians learn how to eat ketchup at fast food joints. can't trust the french fries. salads without chicken strips don't get sold much. maybe a baked potato at wendy's, but that just seems to point of the limited options more than it satisfies taste.

ketchup on catsup on catch up.

tartar sauce is also good
they put a quart of it on every fishburger

I thought I could trust the fish. I used to be one.

On first read I got a view in my mind of hitting that little window when it opens and they take your money. Enjoyed this much.

love lots
