hezbollah just found out. . .
I bet she goes home to California and does something there, like run for senate, but hey, has she ever held elected office? I think she was on the board of Standard Oil, so maybe she wants to get back into the cash flow, who knows. What a compelling persona she is, and scary. The Israelis dig her, according to CNN. I got no problemos with digging Israel, I dig Israel, but I also like the Lebanese, and wonder what will become of the American university. in Beirut.
Las Paginas, the pages, what great notes to study in Spanish, nice to see from America del sur,
the vision of a new middle east, while tempting, is possibly naive.
i am at work today, taking a quick break. off on thurssday again, will follow.
Those fighter pilots are young, some of them just kids. . They walk with the shades down on their visors, look like 2 legged hornets.

I hate this thread
Singlemalt it is a heartache for me
To see those American Jews sitting at the airport getting ready to board a plane to Israel. They look like super bowl fans to me. All dressed up in their favorite team's colors. This latest incident when Israel taught those shit bag UN observer's a thing or too. Just like they taught those shit bag americans a thing or two back in 1967. So are you a Canadian or what?
Ramble ramble
In 1967 it was a United States "listening ship"
Now it is a UN observation post. Accidently hit by a laser guided bomb. Bad laser, crooked laser, it was just a trick of the light. I wonder what they did not wish to have observed. In 1967 it was the alledged slaughter of Egyption POW's. I have lost faith with democratic governments. Israel is just another governemnt to me. Not home to a stiff necked people and no one else. One of the main if not only obstacles to a peace full settlement to this blood feud between The McJews and THe Hatefields (see ref mcCoy/hatfield feud in WVA in the last century.)
Resolution 194 settled the right of return for Palestine and Israel. The Arab oligarchs rejected it because they were sure G*D was on their side and they would prevail. I suppose now it is too late for Israel to turn the other cheek, swallow their pride and give up the idea of a democratic state founded on blood ties.

all i did was say "payback's a bitch." you can apply this quote to hezbollah -- as i did, and the quote can now certainnly be applicable to israel, as they seem to have underestimated hezbollah. the quote is now equally applicable.
and, for the last time, i am not knip (in fact i disagree with most of what he posts). i am not jim vinny. i have used the same username "singlemalt" since they day i began posting here. i was singlemalt at litkicks when i started posting there years ago. i have never used any other name here or at litkicks.
i will, however, shoot off an email to vinny and let him know that he is still in the thoughts of some studio-eighters.

exactly
which is what my beef is about
there is no military solutin to this mess on either side
and from the Israelis' side,
they should know that this expanded air barrage will not get them peace,
but as they say,
they gotta keep doing it until the oy vey, they get sick of it.
before too long, the situation will become untenable.
it is a perpetual war.
If the Israelis would use their brains
shit we got this massiive military-industrial complex
and shit fer brains
stupid tacticians.
know your enemy.
and know them intimately.

i'm back to thinking we should just bomb the whole cradle of civilization back to the stone age. they all want to kill one another. killing everyone there would make everyone happy. and we could restart our own cradle of civilization. maybe thats where i could start my own country that i'd been talking about. a fertile crescent, some kickass seashores, we'd hold back the oil in order to force new fuel use, and the kids would have a sandbox.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

That is what I was trying to say when I mentioned Milton Eisenhower and the speech he wrote for his brother about the military industrial complex.
All these conspiracy theories, truth is stranger than fiction.
I think Norbert Weiner got it right when he wrote, "When we arm ourselves we arm our enemies" The Human Use of Human Beings, 1950 something.
Israel and Palestine could work it out. Germany needs to step in for uncle Sam, I want an International Military Force commanded by a German General. THe US has no credability, we need to support our troops and bring them home.
Payback will probably be a bitch
Oh well

israel should never have been given as spoils/compensation to the jewish people. it should have been germany that was declared a jewish state.
now we're fucked.
the daily show did a great job last nite of showing that the muslims, jews and christians each believe that the holy land is theirs. we need to turn the holy land into the holy grail - something that doesnt exist.
or convince the ethiopians to bring the ark into play. just set that thing on the battlefield and then we'll really know who's got God on his side.
