Warrior Class

Post by mnaz » August 10th, 2006, 10:03 pm

I ran like hell, from hell,
so I figure I broke about even.
I came in with curves, not trajectory,
so it seems a fair trade.

I rub shoulders with warriors,
shoot the breeze, load cargo.
No doubt I'll need their help,
though I don't speak the language.

But language is different now,
by rote and on-stage,
and the warrior class
suspects foul play.

Very interesting read, Mnaz

"Curves, not trajectory" ending in circles. Befriend the warriors.

The third stanza I took as the many performances of an old art.

Just thoughts.

love lots

"the warrior class suspects foul play"

isn't it long overdue? maybe they were too busy doing their thing, eh?

But language is different now,
by rote and on-stage,
I watched the warrior class change the language during Vietnam
The warriors, the samurai are our only hope these days
But of course the Jews have been waiting for the warrior messiah for a couple thousand years.
Meanwhile it is Zen or bust for me.
"the warrior class suspects foul play"
Yes
I hope so.

I liked this one a lot mnaz, very ecconomical, the ecconomy of words.

arm yourself for the new warrior class
teach yourself for the new intellectual class
become yourself for the new philosophy class
we're late on the chaotic class
lepers in the streets need arms too
our teachers cant read
our leaders cant think
give beachballs to the soldiers
and tanks to the ghetto survivors
and it's always time for a drink
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

yeah, curves of mother, v. trajectory.... arc of a billion mortar shells and grenades lobbed by her tiresome squalling, screaming nursery. Yeah, I know.... weak.... simple-minded and written half-drunk.

On the other hand, the warriors are all over my neighborhood and yours. We are them. Cindy Sheehan is them. Warriors are people too, and in the end, no one wants to be used and thrown out with the garbage.
