after the bombing.

Post by mnaz » August 20th, 2006, 3:36 am

And I'm begging you,
no more, no more, no more shedding of blood.
there won't be no flood to wash away the blood....
....and Jesus wept.... i-tinually.

Sorry for a family's limbs blown apart,
and fluids leaked thru makeshift coffins,
left for six weeks in the beautiful desert sun,
until the bombing and fighting stopped,
because better days are ahead,
i can assure you.

you dwell
you dwell in those terrible places
your mind
grasps the awfulness of it
well
I try
I try to remember
that all spirits
all spirits
fly away
and on that day
many souls
winged their way to heaven
and there was peace
for them

it's the only way I can think of it
or I would crumble into a million pieces

our minds and hearts cry
but you have to find the hope somewhere
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

shit. I did it again.

I mean it. I've got to change my ways.

I cop to it. I lifted the first part from a Big Youth song that hit me pretty hard yesterday.... the second was from a report on NPR.... I've got to turn that damn radio off for awhile, I suppose....

thanks mousey.

What do you mean mnaz...you make it sound as if it was...

PLAGIARIZED!

which I know it's not.

Anyway, woord to the wise...deleter's never prosper!

on a human note it is good for me to view the unsurety in others, especially in one such as you who seems, from this long far off view, to be pretty self-assured and opinionated(in a good way).

Delete nothing. These texts here are like trails to follow...you know?

s'okay though I understand because frankly I usually want to delete everything of mine at some point or another...what ya gonna do.

anyway, that can be your theme song...

Just change the oops I did it again to Shit I did it again! Good stuff!

Shit I did it again
got lost in the game...
I'm not that innocent! (or words to that effect...sing it with me now!)

(Sorry, I know I am far too wordy!)

pps: I QUOTED BRITTNEY...SOMEONE SHOOT ME NOW...PLEASE!

"lifted", as in borrowed.... (and i'm sure he wouldn't mind)....
and i got my jamaican DJs mixed up-- it was actually an I-Roy toast over a johnny clarke rhythm. what a powerful tune, though....

and that massive rhythm.... it was too much. i cracked....

everything is stolen
everything is broken
everyone is dead
tell me about the streets of laredo
tell me about the guns of brixton
tell me about money for nothing
and what we got for free
send lawyers, guns and money
we need a break from the heat
you've got to go a long way in the west
to find a good man
lets steal from the rich
and give to the little children
with limbs bombed across doorsteps
footsteps burned in time
our words are everyone's
so lets share.
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

Write the anger down, get rid of it and make way for some more.

In-between, read Leo Buscaglia's " The Fall of Freddie the Leaf" and think of Mousey1's tenderness and friendship.

I got a lot out of your poem mark, I don't see nothing to change, I thought it was healing .
For me anyway
gracias
