strange that you should mention Blue Velvet
once I was sitting in a bar in Dallas and met a guy who claimed to have written the tune.
he was asking me to buy him drinks, so I doubt that his story was true

Cheesiest? I dunno if Elvira by The Oak Ridge Boys could be called the cheesiest, but it for sure is in the running for the worst song ever recorded.
