the 29!th
excellent day
well paved by my man (the infamous G)'s b-day, which is never overtly celebrated but always marked with an exclamation mark (Ha! still here!)

so, congratulations, Clay, on still being here. Quite a reason for tipping the hat and doing a salutory flamenco step.

clayday!
and wrapped in quiet november mist, another wild unfolding is about to begin.

happy birthday, lrod -
have i ever told you that i love your voice
just as i love the one of your woman?

the cd arrived today, and has filled my nov 29 with that magic only words and voices can create - warm like rolling marbles down a beautiful ecliptic slope....

thank you!

(btw, the cd exudes this special scent of dry tobacco that i remember from long ago, from times of waking in strange communes after long nights of wine and music, smoke and talk, of politics, madness and poetry.... it smells of the carpets and pants of strangers, of unknown rooms and the vague morning light of a foreign city - it's that sort of brown tobacco scent that lingers in suede jackets and and indian blankets and crumpled sleeping bags, dusty, nostalgic and somehow suffused with reverie....)

anyway, if you wanna escape the winter blues and take a debaucherous 3 or 4 day getaway into the tropics, just say the word, and i can work magic to make it happen... we can work out a birthday price ;-) ...

of course, you'd have to be prepared to wade through masses of a truly wonderful cut of america's finest trailer park elite!! hehehe. we get nuttin but the best on this old tug!! wheehaw

later clay. happy day bro.
