Rage against the Machine, then ask it for a date.

Post by mnaz » October 3rd, 2006, 1:34 am

I march in hot defiance, my blistered mile,
and retreat in a blue four-door sedan.
I drown outrage in cartons of soy milk,
and pour light beer over weighty crisis.
I march, fueled by truth and vitamins.
I drive, strive, arrive home alive;
half my pay to butter, the rest to guns.
I decry the rape and menace of it,
then look for a job.

Terrific wit, pointed composition with lots of great chops in regard to rhythm.

This is a fine poem, my friend.

And here's a link to a very interesting book:

I don't ask anymore
I don't have enough out rage
I have ironic deficiency anemia I suppose

nice poem
I am pretty deaf to rythm
but I like how the words line up

The best of men lack conviction
They say
Maybe we need more tax cuts.

.... something about driving a car to a protest against the global corporate monster-- an outta-whack idea that sent me riffin' (I've seen it happen)-- almost as if Big Consumer created its very own Big Corporate monster, which promptly escaped and grew to mythic proportions....

It was a good poem
I need your outrage
I hardly have any left.

Speaking of cars and outrage

The hell with it, I am going to wear the mark of the beast with pride.

Get a bar code tattoo on my forehead

What a wonderful world this could be.
Just takes faith
Keirkegaard was a quantum Physicist
He knew all about quantum leaps and stuff like that.
