. . . so i was hanging around the rio grande valley wednesday and thursday, and on my way to mcallen, lo and behold i come upon pharr, texas.
who'd a thunk it was a real place.
i think the valley needs a good radio station. and what is with the obsession with "yak in the box." i thought those places closed in the 70s. oh well.

i was in the valley for a case i'm working on that's pending in brownsville. i went with my local counsel for a contested hearing involving an injury case.
no jack in the box around chicago. i did eat at rudy's, which i suppose is no big deal to those in the south of texas. i had some kind of meat-type-sloppy joe that was terrific.
i was surpirsed by how large the hispanic population is. the people were very nice. quite a bit of poverty though. and it was a tad too hot for my liking.
