Happy fall to you too dear hester.

Got on the Dixie Flyer bound for New Orleans
Across the state of Texas to the land of dreams.
On the Dixie Flyer bound for New Orleans
Back to her friends and her family in the land of dreams.
Her own mother came to meet us at the station,
Her dress as black as a crow in a coal mine
She cried when her little girl got off the train.
Dixie Flyer Randy Newman

Nothing gets me out of the dumps like a train.

I'm holding my own.

"Everything's okay

cause we're still living". "Hank Williams Sr.

Still here in south central hell, still crazy, still living in despair, dying with hope. It comes and goes. Storm blowing in the early morning darkness, rumble of thunder always cheers me up. Now the sound of rain, so sweet. Now a Southern Pacific freight blowing bye, as good as it gets for me these days.

Styron died the other day. Thinking about his book
Styron, William: Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness
I climbed up basement stairs with the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. A threatning prescence pursuing me.
Took me a long time to outgrow my childish fears, to embrace the light and darness as my old friend.

I'm still scribbling
I can't complain.
"Gimme a beat boys to free my soul"...Bread?

I saw a head line from a German newspaper that cheered me up. "The Nightmare is Over."

Yeah Nancy that baltimore liberal, old tommy would have been proud of her. Madame Speaker, don't it sound sweet. She got a plan for the first hundred hours. All we got to do is hang on for two more months.

I feel like a Baltimore Colts fan for some reason. Kind of defunct, defunky

okay means that there you are, saying "here i am" out loud, while the heart cringes with the discomfort of fear.

"here i am" means going on....

My dad passed me on his cold and it's starting snowing over here so I'm not feeling too good. Will report back when I'm sure about status... :?
