Help Wanted: Site Reviewers & Interviewers

Post by Doreen Peri » November 26th, 2004, 4:52 pm

Hi all.

I'd like to know if any of you would be interested in helping us move the launching of the site along.

The writers pages will be going up soon and one of the next sections I need to work on is called "Other Arts Sites."

On that page, I will list the names of arts sites and when the viewer clicks on the links, they will be taken to a review of the site and an interview with the webmaster. The review will be an article about the website and what can be found there. These will be like permanent ads for the other arts sites on the net with links to their sites.

Some of the sites I currently want to include are-

LitKicks
Fountainhead
Zygote in my Coffee
Deep Cleveland
Poets Against the War
Arcanum Cafe
Poetic Inhalation
The Scroll
Thunder Sandwich
Art.net

This is just the beginning of a list. If you have other ideas for sites which you'd like to see included in this section, please link to them on this thread.

I'm looking for people who are interested in writing reviews and interviewing the webmasters of these sites. I will publish your review and interview on the main site in the "Other Arts Sites" section and you will get a byline and we can link to your website and email. I will also list your name on the Masthead page for Studio Eight.

Please let me know if any of your are interested in this.

The job pays the same as mine pays. :D

You can express your interest on this thread or email me at dp@studioeight.tv or send me a pm.

Thanks!

-doreen

I volunteer -D......and the site I'd like to review will be http://soweboarts.org the Baltimore based arts organization that I am actively involved with, it will be a pleasure to interview webmaster scotty stevenson as a representative of S8.....who knows where this will lead?....let's get together and brainstorm what an interview of this sort should cover, and when I should do it.........this is real cool idea doreen and I'm thinking of some other sites that would be awesome to do as I type away, but let's get me doing sowebo arts for starters...........mark

Thank you, Mark!

Sounds fabulous! I'm very happy you want to review the sowebo site and interview Scotty!

Could you let him know about it?

After I get the writers pages up (which should be soon... working out a little coding problem right now)... I'll send you some ideas about what I think would be interesting in a site review and interview and you can add your ideas, ok?

I would also like to add a short bio for Scotty and a photo of him, ok?

Thanks again! Looking forward to working with you on this.

Anybody else interested in writing one of these?

thanks, all!

StillT- I love that bohemian site (levity.com) -

Maybe someone will volunteer to interview the webmaster and write a review of the website. Any takers? (interesting... some of the images look familiar. ;))

And Stupid Bob... thanks very much for thinking of mytexasmusic.com. Would you like to do a review of the site and interview Lucky and Jinell? :D That would be great! You're volunteering, right? ;)

Hey, Stupid Bob! .... yeah, it would be great if you could interview them but hey, volunteering is exactly that, so if you don't have time, that's ok. *sob*

________

Does anybody here go to Get Underground? ( http://getunderground.com )

That would be an excellent site to review.

Anybody interested?

:D

Hey ize

Great! Thanks!

Pick an arts site from the ones listed above or another one you like a lot and send me an email to let me know which one you selected.

Then, we'll talk about how to proceed with the review of the site and interviewing the webmaster, ok?

I appreciate you wanting to help!

Thank you!

I'm taking a break from working on the site until after the first of the year.

Take your time.

Thanks again!

I wanna interview Brian Fugget if he will let me!

Post by billectric » December 8th, 2004, 6:58 pm

I'll email him right now and ask. His E-zine, as you know, is called Zygote In My Coffee.

This is going to be cool.
