Written to loud music

Post by mnaz » December 8th, 2006, 12:22 pm

Roll ya, post izm blues.
I invented AM radio in a driving rain.
Some poor pour sole on the air.
Acid rain without the conversation.

Izm skizm nitch switch
to my brand of coffee when I sleep.
It's all coming out now, nary a peep.
Took my izm down to the gate.
Name, rank and serial killer,
that's all ya gotta give 'em.
Took my izm down at the wall,
missed the cut like a daffodil.

Strum yer guitar,
crank my distortion,
portions of comets breaking up,
words too vague for their position,
screamin' fer yer submission,
thanks to the police.

Hum a drum.
Barrel 'o monkeys in monkey hats,
in loud long lapels of partisan said that.
And I miss the days of wanton war like now,
but that's only one more tired protest gong
in a failed eight-track of failed eight-track songs
bellied up to avocado lampshade moonshot,
as Neil got lost in his space suit.

(note: forgot something)

I'm not angry, just loud. I'm not wise or overly proud.
got dam it I knew it
I knew you were going to delete it
so I saved the
Last angry poem
never mind I wont repost it
not my right
but I saved it
cause it was great.

thank you for seeing
thanks for writing
it is agood day here for me to read this,
cold gray sleeting
it suits my mood

What better use for anger than poetry
crack my skull open let the light shine in

a numbness surrounds my heart
my mind rages
but my blood runs cold.

yeh truckin'...

i'll probably put it back... just needs a little more work.

it is my last angry poem, after all...

gotta make it count...

this one i wrote to an old punk-ass mix tape of mine, cranked to eight.... oddly enough, the only lyrics i stole directly are from that old police tune, de do do do de da da da, the "quietest" tune on the tape...

I didn't know
I was listening to Unchained by Johnny Cash when I read it.

Listening to the news now

Iraqi said,
Yesterday was better than today
Today is better than tomorrow
Keep on working
thank you.
