heh

well, it only took me what? 3 years? how long have we been here? i can't remember... but it's been a long time and i finally made myself a spot so i could force myself to write... it's a disciplinary measure...

thing is, if it took me that long to make the spot, there's no telling how long it will take to post something!

thanks for waiting but i wouldn't advise it

lol

:D

Once a week. Yeah, like having a pizza... or going to the spa... or sleeping in. Once a week for no more than one hour. You could spare that couldn't you? One-a-week poem... or whatever else may be on the mind at the time. Who knows? It's your one little spotlight on you.

it will be

an energy exercise,
a focus puzzle,
a dedication test,
an arrested moment,
a song in development,
an embellishment,
a gradation,
a sensation of sorts,
a substantial search
for substance, an
unencumbered luncheon
with myself, me serving
it up raw, half-way broiled,
or very well done and you
deciding whether it's worth
sinking yer teeth into
or swallowing or spitting out

whatever this will be about
it will be about and i'm not
about to figure it out until
i begin and much like
going to the gym, once
i finally do a lap or two in
the reasonably shallow water,
i'll get hooked and want to
come back again and again

shallowness never scared me
even though i am well aware
i could drown in a teaspoonful

:)

And now this; Perfect. Plus audio ones as well - great stuff!

Well it's been 4 days since I created this spot and still haven't posted anything other than something I created a few days before I created this spot but the good thing is, I woke up this morning with 3 poems running around in my head including all the words and images and all 3 were pretty darn funny to me at dawn and I liked them a lot but the bad thing is, I forgot every word of them and I can't remember even one of the themes so oh well.

But thanks Cecil & Deb, for your support! I'm determined to create something here to either amuse you all or embarrass myself and do it regularly, too. ;)

A hearty yahoo...YAHOO! You finally did it! *big big smile*

I don't believe in pressuring yourself to write; but in the letting it write itself in it's own good time...in it's own good season.

I'm off to erase your delete button...

we don't often know what's best for ourselves you know, we must listen to the voice of reason...and it's not necessarily our own!

Take your time Doreen, it's free and it's endless...time.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
