A little time in front of a free computer

Post by YABYUM » December 7th, 2004, 4:58 pm

Wow......I love what you have done with the place. Pictures of everone next to their posts........thats fuckin awesome. Im sorry I have been missing out on all the activities, maybe one day when if I am old and and grey, I will buy a computer and strap into the technological, online universe with great vigor and seriousness. As for now, I am freezing my ass of in Montreal. I had found work laying bricks, but all outdoor construction shuts down right about now. So now its back out onto these frigid city streets walking into every establishment that looks like theyll hire a drunken american.
(pardon my punctuation, I still have trouble with french keyboards)
The spoken word scene is alive here. Although I am mostly reading tired old litkicks print outs. You would think that with all the road I have left behind me in the past year that I would have some sort of inspiration. I keep finding reasons not to write, I guess. I havent seen the LitKicks book yet, Im sure its good, I think that I might even be in there somewhere. I started reading on the road, again, just like last time, I finished it in only days and just like last time, it has totally fucked with my head. Stay in Montreal or run to the Canadian west...............hmmmmmmmmmmm. So how are you(I cant find the question mark)

bonjour Monsieur Yabyum! How the hell are ya?
Nice to see you here, sounds like times are tough....for you too. (Employment wise anyway.)

How is it being an American in Canada?
It's got to be better than being one here.

Studio eight is a place to come to for some inspiration for sure.
Doreen and LRod have given us a veritable garden to enjoy and grow things in, amidst all the current hell in the world. I don't know what I'd do without this warm, accepting, earthy place. They are few and far between anymore.......

Stick around, write a poem or two??
Hang in there, and like I said, it's good to see you here dearie!

my perspective of life in general

Post by YABYUM » December 7th, 2004, 7:20 pm

there is no general.
there is no perspective.
there is only you, and what you make the truth.

LOL!!!

I can change it if you want.

I love it.

I have these choices -

Ronnie standing on a stool at the algonquin with a paper in hand, reciting our joint poem - beer bottle in the other hand

Ronnie with a beer can in front of his face.

Ronnie giving the world the bird.

Ronnie ... close-up and wild-eyed.

and a couple more.

Take yer pick. Want me to send them all to you and you can pick the one you like the best and upload it yourself in your profile?

OR?? I'll leave it there as you said.

I love it. heh
