Vow of Silence
Vow of Silence
To protest the war in Iraq, the fake War on Terror, and the immoral nature of the Bush regime's criminal Empire, I am taking a vow of silence for the remainder of the month of March. This includes talking and typing.
As long as the tyrannical spies of the NSA, CIA, FBI, DOD and all the other depraved voyeurs of the illegitimate American protototalitarian machine operate, the illusion of free speech is nothing but that -- an illusion.
Buddhist monks burned themselves in protest. Such is impossible in an egoistic culture as our own. So I will symbolically immolate myself by (temporarily) extinguishing my voice. Talk is cheap.
The People need to rise up and take the power back, as RATM say.
Burn your American flags. That is the American way. Like eating the body of Christ is how the Christians commune with their God, so we Patriots should eat the flag.
Workers of the world unite! Soldiers, desert your ranks, throw down your weapons. Slaves of capitalism, quit your jobs. You have nothing to lose but your self-disrespect.
Hugo is right: Bush is the devil.

I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

I suppose it is a function of my age.
The day before seems better than tomorrow
But I believe these are the good old days
We ain't seeing nothing yet.
Silence is for prayer
I'll think about it too.
These live oak trees in texas are the only thing that keep me going in the bare winter.
Now that it is spring they are dropping my leaves
dropping their leaves
I think I would like to die in the spring
In a cruel month
don't mean nothing

I will too e-dog, but not in protest.
In prayer and meditation.
"We who work for peace must not falter. We must continue to pray for peace and to act for peace in whatever way we can, we must continue to speak for peace and to live the way of peace; to inspire others, we must continue to think of peace and to know that peace is possible."

I appreciate and respect your vow of silence, however I do just want to mildy suggest that silence is not what's needed now. In fact the very opposite is needed, we need voice now, a loud firm unified voice, demanding that this administration be taken to task and fired. Demanding that for the love of our troops they be brought home, and taken care of, demanding that we the tax paying people are heard, that we the majority have equal access to jobs, healthcare, and a decent life.
We could do things too, to get our message across....stop buying stuff, stop paying taxes, stop being threatened by corporate.....remind them we are the customer.
I just don't know how useful a vow of silence is for the collective right now.
How are ya EDawg? Mighty mind?
long time, good to see youse
