Tarantino is God.
Tarantino is God.
He gave us so many options to kill Bill;
most of whom tried to cut off each other's tits.
He gave us the bloody exploded brain-in-a-car,
as well as misquoted Ezekiel hitman scripture.
He filmed every vile cartoon we may yet know,
in technically exquisite premeditated screenplay,
and for this he must be praised.

Quentin Tarantino showed me a thrill
And a chill
But still
He has the will
To make me sit still
So as to prove that his movies are not the run of the mill

And be praised
To George W Bush
For all the people he has thrilled
On the eyewitness news
The nice thing about being a combat veteran
you don't need to waste a lot of money on movie tickets
Don't need no slasher movies anymore
Got plenty of blood and gore
Stored behind their eye lids
Do you think you can become what you watch
is it monkey see monkey do
not for us
only for people with weak minds I am sure.
Or maybe it is therapeutic to watch make believe blood spurt.
Catharsis and all that
sorry for the ramble mnaz
your writing seems to bring out the worst in me
thank you

Sorry... spelled hiz name wrong...
In the beginning was the sanctity of human life.
Fewer than ten people inhabited the rock;
plenty o' space and land and possibility for all...
Then Cain killed Abel and it was off to the races,
and the world was one big bloody cartoon-a-go-go
for ohh, say... thousands and thousands of years,
until Hendrix' guitar sorcery caused a brief pause,
and flowers sprouted from hippies' sandals,
and the first earth shots from space came back...
Brief, indeed...
Along came Tarentino and the world was one big
red-splattered cartoon once more.... Such a visionary!
Very 21st Century!

Well Reagan was a stooge, I agree, but you continually overlook the "populist" context: humans across the US voted these people in. Millions of people actually admired a Reagan or Bush, and still do. So it's systemic, as they say. Watching the first Kerry/Bush debate, I thought along with others that BushCo was a stammering little hick, possibly hungover, if not borderline schizophrenic. Kerry, though not great in all respects, seemed to win the debates, and was very calm and reasonable throughout the campaign. But to most hicks, that calm college boy rationality is a SIGN, man: they don't want rationality, intelligence, ethics, rhetoric: they want intensity, war, violence, monster trucks, discrimination, booze, bimbos. They aren't interested in hearing about the latest economic entitlement theory.
Yet at the same time, the demos are pretty much controlled by corporate interests. So in some sense I actually agree with the anti-corporate and anti-entertainment people, even conservatives, out in the boonies: hollywood , media, schports, TeeVee is in their face, and has been for years. That doesn't mean I support the gung-ho militarism (or trenchcoat insanity or a madman ala Cho), but the megolithic corporate media is driving people to madness, in a sense. Fundamentalists, whether Xtian or Muslim are driving us to madness. Tarentino soft nihilist porn is part of that corporate media: even the counterculture has been bought out (like the remaining members of the Grateful Dead doing a benefit for Chairgal Pelosi. Phuck) . It's like one big vegas, everywhere. Who gives a F after a while. Better to read like some Stendhal.

Ah man, I had a few last night and thought I'd take a moderately "disposable" image from one of my last scribblings and "worship" it... I found "Pulp Fiction" somewhat intriguing, but that "intrigue" faded fairly quickly... As for the later stuff... umm, nope. No time for it, really.
As to the emerging apocalyptic, Good vs. Evil cartoon-like culture of increasing corporate dominance of the media and "arts" spectrum (sometimes I swear Kiefer Sutherland is on the Homeland Security payroll), well, it may indeed serve The Corporation well to galvanize the "hicks" to be good, unquestioning, patriotic footsoldiers in the fight against various state-tagged evils in what The Corporation foresees as the inevitable impending 21st Century resource wars. Or something like that...
And I guess I've "sold out" as well, in a sense. I kinda dig Vegas. Not that I enjoy lounge singers or losing my ass at '21', or the gaudy, pointless waste, or the crime, or the pathetic disposability of the place, or the.... wait, what was I saying?.... Oh yeah, the Vegas thing. There's a certain energy about the place... it's such a good bad example, such a good target... a self-declared whore from day one, but an equal opportunity whore... And I love it when the temp hangs around 90 all night...

fore once, We agree!Tarentino's booj-wah kitsch
causes rationalists to twitch.
His mafioso-lite schtick
from Il Duce just a click.
...
Phorgive my doggerel, dude--
but Tarentino pleases not:
methinks he's another nihilist clerk,
untalented and untaught.
Tarantino is a wanna-be maker of crappy films. His films' only virtue is failing to be crappy enough to be recognized as crap. It's quite vicious. Symptom of capitalism, no art.
mnaz--
This is no joke. Fox presents 24 as an investment in creating future wars of Terror to prop up they news reel ratings. Its the entertainment-industrial militaro-terrorist complex, man! that's The REAL deal, 21st century (fas)capitalismo.the emerging apocalyptic, Good vs. I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.
