Lord, I’m torn apart.

Post by joel » May 8th, 2007, 6:24 pm

I wanna be like Jesus in my heart,
Lord, in my heart. I also wanna live.
So what’s it gonna be? It’s him or me—
I can’t go schizophrenic on a mixed
up, messed up maniac messiah and
be sane—and not to mention happy—so
I need to be like something genuine
and—more than like, but actual—within
whatever faith attempts I undergo.
Lord, I don’t wanna die. Don’t reprimand
my honesty (I’m sure you won’t). I’ve fixed
my hope on you and I don’t wanna be
undone and broken; what is faith to give
to wanton wreckage? Lord, I’m torn apart.

My friend was writing me letters
he reported that when he typed in 'Lrod'
that his spell checker suggested 'Lord'

I told him to just click 'ignore'
