I have my weaknesses too. In fact one could argue that the Imus thread continues to expose one of them... I suppose in theory, one should be able to forgive those who have attacked and/or hurt either myself or others I care about whether or not the attacker shows any remorse over it... But you know, I always have a hard time with that.

I don't know, though. Really it's not strictly a "gotcha" thing; there's a "practical" side to this. Though I'm fairly certain I'll be posting less frequently, I'd still like to think this is a place I can come to trade and augment viewpoints on various issues-- and yes, get schooled even, at times-- without the constant threat of deliberate personal attack from certain others (especially when those certain others don't even seem to follow their own righteous proclamations)

by the way... don't take the "others I care about" part of my statement to mean simply, "others I know personally"... I should have made it more general. I hate to see anyone attacked unfairly.

Just watch out for me mark. I am full of ulterior motives. I don't trust myself anymore.

I post too much here. I have a high speed internet connection because I need it for work. I work at home and am always on the net. I am too broke to go anywhere. My five hundred dollar car has a leaky water pump. I live pretty much as a hermit.
