all the cadáveres smell the same (except you are a saint and a catholic).
I googled him:

Now, further evidence that the creators of the series intend for Tinky Winky to be a gay role model have surfaced. He is purple -- the gay-pride color; and his antenna is shaped like a triangle -- the gay-pride symbol.

"I believe in the premillennial, pre-tribulational coming of Christ for all of his church, and to summarize that, your first poll, do you believe Jesus coming the second time will be in the future, I would vote yes with the 59 percent and with Billy Graham and most evangelicals."

may god let him go in full peace.

even Larry Flint said that he hated what Falwell stood for but that he liked him as a man. (You know, the Would You Like to Have a Beer With Him? thing)

personally, I will miss him because he was such a great foil.

I would pray for him arcadia
unfortunately god does not hear my prayers..
He was a media genuis. He knew what to say to get publicity. And we all know there is no bad publicity.
Try this: Call a TV station and tell them that you know the Antichrist is already on earth and is an adult Jewish male. See how far you get. Then try the same thing and add that you are the Rev. Jim-Bob Vermin. "Why, Reverend, come right on the show!" What a fool Don Imus was. If he had paid the paltry few bucks to make himself a certified clergyman, he could be jeering and sneering to the present hour.

Yes rest in peace Reverend Falwell.

He was, of course, a monster.

may god let him go in full piss

"unfortunately god does not hear my prayers..": well, he tampoco didn´t listen mine when I did them...! but somethimes I like to change the third person into the second one (thanks Benveniste) in order to do catharsis or have fun more freely.

"He was a media genuis". Yeah, you have an old tradition of talkers, some of them with more impact than others... I have the feeling that here (I -mean my country- nobody really cares about words or think that they would have some important effect). I watch this week Gore´s "An unconventient truth".

Though I understand that irreverence has it's place in the world of humor, in my opinion, on the level of human respect, this is really disrespectful.

The man just died, for crissake. (at least he hopes it was for crissake ;))

Not that I have much respect for the work Jerry Falwell did during his life. I mean, he really twisted up a lot of people's heads, yanno?

But still, I respect the fact that he was a human being.

I don't think it's a comparison that makes much sense... Hitler & Jeffrey Dahmer..... compared to Jerry Falwell?

Falwell told me I am going to hell. I mean in his sermons.
I put him in heaven just to be kind.
Falwell wanted to kill my spirit
not the body.

I think all dogs go to heaven
People too.
But I am a heretic.
I believe in Spinoza's god.

I think death pays all debts.
My troubles are many, they're as deep as a well.
I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell.
I can swear there ain't no heaven and I pray there ain't no hell,
But I'll never know by living, only my dying will tell.
Laura Nyro

bottom line
H*tler was a human being.
I am not comparing
just the facts jack

People who knw him said he was a hell of a nice guy
and people who knew Falwell say the same about him.

and human beings can be monsters.
but I don't know why
All I can do is look into my own heart
and see the worst and best

It was a pretty sick post I know
But I am a sick puppy
what else can I say
I have read too much Freud?

Spinoza's god was good enough for Einstein and it is good enough for me.
Albert Einstein named Spinoza as the philosopher who exerted the most influence on his world view (Weltanschauung). Spinoza equated God (infinite substance) with Nature, consistent with Einstein's belief in an impersonal deity. In 1929, Einstein was asked in a telegram by Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein whether he believed in God. Einstein responded by telegram "I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings."

I don't pray to god, I make deals with him when I am in deep shit.
I am a hypocrite

I have no fucking integrity what so ever.

I guess my point was which dead humans should we respect?

Maybe I was comparing.
I don't know
I was just not that upset about Falwell's death
I don't know why I should have any more respect for him now that he is dead than I did when he was alive.

.

I just liked TK's post.

I been told I have no reverence.

I'm laffin with toty.
Falwell was very very "impeachable".
But of course, who, who acts in the name of "God" and is doing "God's will" is impeachable? oooh. That would put us all at risk of maybe "going to hell".
Yikes! I'm scared!
Yeah, it's sad he died if you take his nametag off and john doe him.

I loved what Bill Maher said. He said he hopes that God greets him at the gate and says with a flick of wrist and a lisp to him, "Jerry, you are not welcome here..."
