It will be auctioned on June 3 by Christie’s at the Greenwich Concours d’Élégance, at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, Conn. Christie’s estimates that the car will sell for $300,000 to $400,000.

It sold for 775,000 Christie's was a little low on their estimate of sale price.

That is not just a car. It is a Bugatti. 1938 Type 57C Atalante coupé. You may not need it, but I can't live without it. At leas that is the way I feel.

So it goes.

"... I'm high on the real thing; powerful gasoline and a clean windshield" firesign theatre

It's been sitting forty five years.
It is so beautiful Cecil, like a metal sculpture.

Ya know I always thought I was going to die behind the wheel but not of a Mazda Protege. I almost got creamed today.

There was a time in life when I thought that if I was going to die in a car wreck it would be a better death in a Ferrari than a Volkswagon.
