this painting makes me think of australia. I've never been there but... I think the bold lines of colour and the white spots seem aboriginal and possibly the curve of white at the bottom makes me think of sydney opera house... maybe...

but I looked at it this morning and I looked again just now and... yes. it makes me think of australia.

interesting work. wish I could get to your garden and maybe buy some for my walls.

i see the buddha's crown
i see the buddha's smile
his eyes rainbows
his teachings bright and flowing
in a cool serenity

take the buddha back to china
to tienamen square
hang it next to chairman mao
and watch the people stare!


as i recall
for a time he didn't want to teach
he said
"nobody's gonna believe me anyhow"
so he went back to his old mates in the deer park
and it was kool
