The one that's up there now by Glorious Amok is one of our first banners. (Probably on page 1-3 somewhere.... just guessing.) I like it too. :)

What a guess.. just checked.. it's on page 3. :)

Today's studio eight banner watercolor by anemone

Pretty sure today was the first time I have seen that one.

I wish I knew more about art so I could understand why I find it so interesting.

It's a photo of a mural or sign outside a jazz club.

When I originally created this banner from Deb's photograph, I asked her if she knew who the artist was and she didn't so there was no way to credit the artist and so I thought crediting only the photographer worked fine. A good photographer is definitely an artist! This is a great shot! Captures the artwork perfectly. And yeah, I agree, there's an art to just about everything. Just the other day, I was watching the bathroom remodelers work and I was so impressed with their artistry. What skills some people have! Motorcycle repair? Well that's got to be an art, right?

I have never been able to read Zen and The Art of Motorcycle repair cover to cover but I have been picking at it for over a year.

I was thinking about that book

I was also thinking about this blast from the past too

Can you have art without craft?

Yabyum's high desert photos are immense
this one in particular
i don't know what that says about Yabyum
but he sure got a soul

can you have art without craft?
wow when perezozo was on his uppper mood
he was a brilliant as anyone i have ever witnessed
but he went to the dark side and made mincemeats out of feebleminded fools
one can be crafty without art
like don rumsfeld
"you know what you know
you know what you don't know
you don't know what you don't know"
secretary of spending and gulag americana
as a congressman once voted against food stamps

perezoso
devoured by ego
but he is enjoying every bite

I don't try to talk to him anymore
I been ordered off his threads
No ewes or dogs allowed
I don't care
just so he is interesting
I sit on my hands and read

He knows so much more than me
I think he is or was a college professor
I am an ignorant child next to his erudition
But he knows more than he knows I think
He thinks
even about such mundane things as highways
He knows the exits on I-40 in Arizona much better than me
I am a scmuck who drove a truck
what would I know about Holbrook Arizona

I always feel like mincemeat
I am chopped liver
the eternal sophomore.
I wonder how K&D is doing
she was on that thread too.
did she stick it out?
I think she must be a senior by now.

Perezoso seems to be on your mind a lot these days
or maybe it is just me.
I fail to see the connection here to perezoso
I will reread and see where I lost it.

banner today
fly me to the moon
