i feel stronger reading the riffs
how are you doing, kayla dear?

p.s. there's a murphy's law thing goin around about pregnancy - there'll be a heat wave in your last few weeks but 5 days before the birth, you won't feel a thing. You'll wanna do stuff - make a baby blanket, re-think life as we know it, fix the vegetable vendor down the road. watch for the signs.

meanwhile, your mind can do beautiful fixing. suddenly it's hyperfocus on how this kid is going to be your chance to enter the land of miracles.

don't forget to exercise. crouch a lot. sit cross-legged a lot. rub your nipples with a towel after your shower to toughen em a bit for nursing. there's lots to keep you busy.

so, how are things?

I remember that she said around August 16th. I hope mother and child are well. The whole thing makes me feel faint.

no need to faint, still. breathe in and five short exhales, phew
that's the pattern

my first child was more than 3 weeks 'late'! i realized then that since the 9 month scenario was a myth, there had to be other motherhood fallacies i'd be discovering.

it's never dull!
