a wired man
a tired man
a hired man and cheap to hire
cheap and higher
up and drift on lazy windstreams
swift enough for my weakend pup
to excite himself, to chase along,
to hold his attention beyond this or that squirrel--
a mired man
inspired man
admired man
hu kant spel wirth inythin
but dreams of chasing squirrels like a wire-haired pup.

Joachim couldn't've been too religious--
he mighta been an ordinary saint
or a righteous man, still he ain't got his name in the Bible.

Joachim had a dame called Anna
like memories of a bygone Hannah--
knocked her up, but hell, that's not a sin--or so say some--

still when all is said and done, inscribed in stone, intoned like chants of mystics stoned--
for all the folks who made the Bible-cut for sex and gettin' stoned
you'd think old Joe'n'Anne mighta got slipped in--

maybe you don't get in Scripture 'less you sin,
but their Jesus-fish-smellin' generation next made it:
Girls on the Way, daughter-and-friend of Joe'n'Anna: Maria, Johanna.

Doing the keyboard jitterbug

Quasi-spatial oblivion
In the white out an open text box
I am painless
Awake
Time slipping into the presence

time passes...
yesterday, i spent a birthday
with the one i love,
our second one of his together.
we looked around at what is
and what has been
and at possibilities.
wondered out loud
why everything good
can't happen sooner
so that it can happen longer.
decided to be satisfied with
better late than never --
especially
knowing
that's it's only
a very few of us
who are lucky enough
to find this kind of love.

when it is..........

it's everlasting when it is...
when perfect moments time suspend
it's everlasting: when it is
abnormal Normal to pretend
and now is new and news depends
on mere refussal to rescind
an end-- when When In Love transcends
its everlasting When-- it is.
