To a cock mold

Post by e_dog » March 7th, 2007, 1:50 am

In Dick Cheney's
syphilitic mind
a war on Iran
will save the war in Iraq.

"You shouldn't say that about Dick
Cheney's mind.

It's disrespectful to
all the great thinkers
with syphilis,
like Nietzsche, possibly Lenin."
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

Some claim that corpulent sadist--and poet, reportedly---Hank 8 (of "aye yam aye yam" fame) had syph. It was a big f-n problem for 2-3 centuries; very tragic. English or french aristos infected with it wore gobs of makeup, and sometimes masks. Wilmot (Rochester, I believe) another writer infected with it, and died young, his body decaying into pus, nearly demented. Quite a few others. Also a problem on western frontier--a bit of gono. was accepted, but once a house gal got syphillis her fancy bordello career was over, and she was kicked out into la rue. Maybe an ode to Louis Pasteur's in order.

No insult intended. But I can see now that it came out as a backhanded compliment. Sorry.

Speaking of Nietzsche and disease
The earth, said he, has a skin, and this skin has
diseases. One of those diseases, for example, is
called “man.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
You once said Freud was the most influential/important? writer of the 20th century. I wondered if you were joking.

Freud claimed he never read Nietzsche. I suppose it is possible that their thought evolved convergently.

A disease called man RE: Life Against Death, Norman O. Brown.
“Life Against Death cannot fail to shock, if it is taken personally; for it is a book which does not aim at eventual reconciliation with the views of common sense…The highest praise one can give to Brown’s book is that, apart from its all-important attempt to penetrate and further the insights of Freud, it is the first major attempt to formulate an eschatology of immanence in the seventy years since Nietzsche.”—Susan Sontag

an eschatology of immanence
the end times of neo-conniving
will happen if we feed the dogs
that are not rabid

why apologise
unless one does it for style
as a way of purposeful gentleness

i know a sweet lady
she is bright
has a master's in accounting
she lost a young son to leukemia
now she is a cancer nurse
growing up thru her unconfidence

tomorroow she will become a mentor
i told her she would learn to like it

empowerment is holy
we shall overcome

do ya think that maybe richard
cheney has a great mind?
his disease is shared by others
a group dynamic
serving a vision of imperial power
rationalised
while young ordinary types
pay taxes into their deep pockets
do their biddings in wars of uncertain value
wait for them on the tarmac
legless with medals
and the greatest minds once again
prey on our liberal sanity
accuse us of feeble cowardice
and lack of manliness
but we know better
annd that is our staple
annd our mettle

some of the great minds were mad
nobody in power in amerika today is great
in any sense

so i agree
cheney is not proceeding with greater madness
he has his fill
it's only a game to him
a dissaffection for his fellows
a sneering disdain
above blame
privelege
without shame

he was never wounded
he will die without a death poem
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om
