I know is wisdom of experience
alone, mere folly show of facts believed—
Love’s fuller grandeur’s yet to be revealed
I hope & too I trust infinities
of truth extend beyond affinities
of lust in which convictions lay concealed,
with which I flirt as fancy rants received
from lesser dreamers’ minds— For happenstance
of arrogance do I too often fall
in love with me as you— Had I believed
I loved you now, what more’d I have to learn?
