five am cst
as I finagle a bagel
and my first cup of coffee
and listen for Dr Sax
I hear the horn of a southern pacific freight highballing by
I almost cried the other day listening to 18 wheels and a dozen roses.
No hyperbole a sob escaped me before I realized what emotions were sweeping over me.

Not so much the words to the song
but the video of the open road and those trucks go rolling by like steel stallions in the night.

Listening to the CB one night, an old timer, a freight hauler for yellow freight, those guys had the most powerful radios after the chicken haulers. They could take control of channel 19 talk over everybody.
His handle was gray wolfe, it was his last run and he was saying goodbye to us all. He said he was going to buy a little house by the side of the road
And he was going to sit on the porch in his comfortable rocking chair and he would throw rocks at every truck that passed by.

Yes I am off the the road.
But I ain't crying
cause I still got to GO
And sitting here on a GO is sweeter even than a thousand miles of open road.

Go if I gotta
Go if i oughta
Go if I shoulda
Go go go go
A go go
Agog for a GO.>>>>>>>>>>>>............submit

woulda
Shenandoah
I try to commit this melody to memory, I can "play back" so little music in my head. We go to life with the gifts we have.

Ken Burns Civil War tv show
started with that melody, for years I have wondered what it was. Finally clicked for me listening to the Celtic Women version.

no idea what the day holds about an hour of the darkest night left
I will have to face the door sooner or later.
doors have been a problem of mine
since world war two.
my little bit of ptsd
got to get out the door mark
got to go now
or loose another day.

[color=blue"talk about what uesed to be
waste another day
hustle on the east coast
for your west coast fair
trying to get someplace
but you don't know where
going through the motions
going nowheres fast" jitterbug[/color]

Must be getting close to a new moon
I can't find my lunar calander
I think I will go howl at the moon for a while
go going gone

I mourned for my children never born

Sheandoah Valley Of Virginia

My first refuge after twenty five years of hard lonesome travelling

a million miles of eighteen wheels humming home sweet home
and
"rain drops on my windshield
tear drops on my steering wheel"

I was still only a half mile form I-81 and working graveyard at mom and pop truckstop
I was still shakey on my feet, and I had not discovered litkicks yet.

I can't hear the melody to Shanandoah mark. Is that weird? I mean wouldn't a normal person be able to at heast humm the melody of a tune after listening to it for years?

It is quite in hear I tell ya
Every song was like a hit of "go fast" if you know that bit of trucker slang. I never need no little white pills mark, just bubble gum, coffee, and blue grass music.

just practicing my spontaneos html

I still get those blue grass mountain blues,

go crossing my finers that I can at least still do spontaneous html

down and dirty
working without a net
I don't need no preview button
just submit
to the dance button>>>>.

Living in this suburban sprawl
my eyes get weary
for those Valley Vistas
Climb a hill around a curve
there it is
purple mountain majesties
country roads take me home.

I was so lost when I found litkicks
like I had lost my mother my lover my home
the road was all there was for me for so long

now I got wheels under me again
just the four on my desk chair
but the infinite scroll of an open text box
makes me feel at home again.

My night vision not what it used to be
it was time to hang it up
I was blinded by the lights

Yes a wet road at night
hard to see that center line
I would try not to stare into the on coming lights
try to look away to the right for clues
as to where I was on the road
it is worse now with those new super bright head lights.

In the begining was the word
Before the begining was the buzz

I could not dance for years
I was so uptight
Now I can
body freedom
I think all will end well
I will hear the music one day.
in all my years I can only remember one dream with music in it.

but these words won't leave me alone

You got the beat
such a feat
Maybe if I hang out here with you
it will rub off on me
oh lordy
give me a beat to free my soul

mr tamburine man

In another contingent universe the Titanic still steams on, JFK is an old man sailing his boat on Buzzard Bay, George W Bush is a florist in Miami Beach, and I am a retired proctologist in Baltimore bouncing my grand child on my knee.

I can't change the past
Too late to dance at my high school prom
But I am going to dance every last dance I get the chance to dance.
From now until forever.

I open this text box
as if I will have something to say

leaving this text box hang open
see if I got any jam in me tonight

7:10 pm CST

7:24 PM sitting here falling in love With Nancy Pelosi, too bad she is married.
1946-1951 I used to walk by her home in little Itlee every school day.

I don't make no sense to complain about chicks
But then again my bubbie is/was always on guard to protect me from the evil eye.

The only ones that never get hurt are the women haters, they are invulnerable, they make fools of women every time.

Am I judging
I hope not

Looking for a beat
for my beat mate wireman
going to listen to JG for a while I stumbled on a song I never heard before
Althea. Got a line from mother goose in there somewhere.

I am going to try to do some spontaneous code here,
Cross my fingers hope to die
if I tell a lie

And forgetting the love we bring

GOing GO Gone
